Directed by Jason Goldwatch of Decon for the film/music project that they’re doing with Jay Electronica’s The Dogon Society. You’ll notice that some of the footage was captured in Nepal at the same time as they shot “Dear Moleskine,” but Jay just hit me and said that some of it was from Dubai. This video comes on the night that Funkmaster Flex played “Exhibit A (Transformations)” on Hot 97:

WHAT WE KNOW: He’s dropped only two songs in the last 12 months, but we can’t front, they’re good enough that we’re literally chomping at the bit waiting for more. Long teased, Act II is something between an EP, a mixtape and a video art project, but will certainly be a compelling piece of rarely heard lyricism. Add to that the best beats Just Blaze can craft, and appearances by Nas and Mos Def (and possibly even Eminem… to hear Jay tell it, at least), and you have an effort that should occupy real rap fans’ iPod’s for the rest of the year.

ich geb exhibit c immer mal wieder n paar plays um zu kucken ob´s irgendwann bei mir einschlägt, vielleicht isses ja n grower, aber es BLEIBT einfach 9th wondermässiges boom bap gedudel mit nem uncoolen sample dass sich anhört als hätte man´s irgendwo zufällig ausm song rausgeschnitten ohne gross drauf zu achten und darüber ein uncharismatischer MC ohne coole stimme der im 0815 flow langweiliges zeug erzählt. für mich schon jetzt hypeenttäuschung ´10.

Scheiß Quali, aber ich glaub das wird ne Granate.Ski Beatz ist übrigens der Produzent von so unbedeutenden Liedern wie "Dead Presidents" falls ihr euch fragt wer der Mann ist. Mixtape von ihm kommt dann wohl Ende März.

Und Act II lässt immer noch auf sich warten.

Act II is coming "soon" with more production by Just Blaze. That too will be a free opus, with his official album Act III to follow. Nas makes a cameo on Act II while Jay's gems "Exhibit A," "Exhibit C" and "Moleskin" will be included on the latter. Just Blaze, J Dilla, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, Mr. Porter and Jay himself will produce.

Hoffe "Act II" komt jetzt bald, damit wir 'n großartigen Vorgeschmack zur Überbrückung der Zeit bis zum offiziellen (!) Album haben!
Wenn ich das allein schon nur lese...Dilla, Just Blaze & J.u.s.t.i.c.e. League als Produzenten, darüber mit Jay einer der stärksten und vielleicht der interessanteste Rapper unserer Zeit, da kommt was enorm großes auf uns zu! Ich werd zum Hypeman!
