Der Umkehrschluss aus der Story wäre dann aber gewesen, dass man sich anmaßen hätte müssen, zu beurteilen, ob rassistische Angreifer, und seien sie auch noch so klischeehaft, ihn als Schauspieler aus der Serie Empire hätten erkennen können. Es kann doch nicht die Alternative sein, auf solche Vorwürfe zu reagieren, indem man sagt, dass jemand, der ein Hassverbrechen begeht, ja gar nicht so gut informiert sein kann und dementsprechend die Story nicht stimmen kann.

dude das ist immer noch ein comedian nimm das doch nicht so bierernst. der punkt ist, die story war auf den ersten blick fishy, das unterscheidet sie ja z.b. von den vorwürfen gegen weinstein.

die richtige reaktion war ja genau die, die chappelle beschreibt: erst mal klappe halten als durchschnittlicher twitterer oder so und als journalist halt wie es sich in solchen fällen gehört konjunktiv verwenden etc.

find es zeugt in diesen tagen schon immer n bissl von intellektuellem oberwasser eine story (oder schlagzeile oder statistik oder oder oder) nicht sofort und unbedingt zu glauben auch wenn sie in zu irgendeinem von einem selbst bevorzugtem narrativ passt

jetzt auch abseits von julié smolliere, von der story habe ich eh erst lange im nachhinein durch witze drüber erfahren

besonders eine stelle fasziniert mich. der interviewer suggeriert, dass die regierung die absurden verschwörungstheorien absichtlich populärer macht bzw. in verbindung mit protesten zu tatsächlich geschehenen fails der regierung bringt, um das ganze dann im paket als illegitim abzustempeln.
