Um den Flop zu komplettieren wurde das Album jetzt komplett gecancelled.
He speaks on the problems that plagued MC4, telling Complex, "Songs like "I'm Heated" and "Two Times" couldn't be cleared. By the time I got the mix how I recorded it, it wasn't the same. I just ain't have the same feeling for it. Everybody had to replay shit, and do all this extra shit, so I wasn't in the mood to put it together. All the music going to come out, you know what I'm saying, just packaged differently. Plus, the album got leaked."

The good news, he says he is "70%" done a new project. His one goal with this new project? "Just make sure it don't get leaked. That's why I don't want to announce the name or nothing. I just want to wait until it's done and just drop it. Make sure it don't leak, make sure everything is cleared before I announce anything."

However he does confirm he'll be dropping a mixtape in October with "some of the best music you've ever heard."

ololol von wegen sample clearance-probleme. l.a. reid hat doch schon gesagt, dass der letzte pushback erfolgte wegen ausbleibendem hype.
 
heute mal den leak gepumpt, viel mehr aus einem guss als das debüt und hat u.a. auch dank einiger harry fraud-beats insgesamt zum glück diese gewisse, zauberhafte und manchmal sogar melancholische aura, die man bei seinen sachen hören will.
am meisten feier ich "play yaself", "2 times" (UH LA LA LAAAAAA), "brick road" (beatwechsel :thumbsup:), "have mercy" und "max b & chinx/paid for". nur "check come" is schon etwas zu überdreht und der mit drake einfach langweilig wie sau.
schade, dass das teil nich richtig releast wird.

bis jetzt erste 1te hälfte paar ma gepumpt klingt aber jut

Eine Schande, dass die kommerzielle Veröffentlichung nie geklappt hat. Sind zwar auch 2-3 richtige Ausfälle dabei, aber dafür auch absolute Hits wie das Intro, Play Yaself, No Shopping, 2 Times, Lowjack :cool: oder auch Figure It Out. :thumbsup:

Bisher gefallen mir das Intro, "Play Yaself", "Brick Road" ( :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: ) und das bereits von "Wave Gods" bekannte "Figure It Out" mit Ye und Nas am besten. Wird in den nächsten Wochen auf jeden Fall noch das ein oder andere mal bei mir laufen.

eben beim stöbern auf hhv gesehen, dass die das als preorder drinhaben für freitag.
 
Habs mir jetzt auch mal angehört, hätte ein anständiges Release auf jeden Fall verdient gehabt. "Play Yaself", "Said N Done", "Brick Road" ( :eek: ), "Lockjaw", "Figure It Out" und "Chinx & Max / Paid For" gefallen mir am Besten. Großteils auch sehr stimmig, aber ganz rund ist es für mich wieder nicht, kann gerade mit "Everytime", "I'm Heated", "Check Come" und "Xplicit" wenig anfangen.
