Interview: Lupe Fiasco Talks “Lasers” Delay, Japanese Cartoon, and “Food & Liquor II”

Lasers ist also seit 2 1/2 Jahren fertig, aber das Label will es nicht releasen, was auch mal wieder typisch für Atlantic ist, die haben ja auch das Saigon Album aufm Gewissen. Was mich richtig aufregt ist, dass Lupe anscheinend überhaupt keinen Plan vom Musikgeschäft hat und dann solche Sätze bringt wie "Ich veröffentliche keine Mixtapes ich bin meinen Fans nichts schuldig", künsterlische Integrität ist ja schön und gut, aber der Mann hat anscheinend vergessen wer letztendlich dafür bezahlt, dass er was zu essen aufm Tisch stehen hat. Da folgt echt eine arrogante Ansage nach der anderen in diesem Interview, der brauch sich nicht wundern wenn seine nächste CD nur noch 2.000 mal verkauft wird.

Achja, Food & Liquor II ist dann wohl auch schon (fast) fertig und hier gibts die EP von seinem Punkrock Projekt Japanese Cartoon zum downloaden: http://allsabotage.com/ (aber erst nach Registrierung)

Dude pretty much confirms alot of shit I had suspected for a while. And give me a break with that ****ing petition. That’s gotta be the corniest shit I’ve heard this year. Really? So now we’re gonna beg ****ing Atlantic of all labels for an album by a guy who clearly only releases music when the whim strikes him? There’s so much wrong with that whole relationship between this dude, his fans and the scum bag record execs that are now getting free viral promo for an album that they probably have no intention of releasing. So what happens next? Lemme guess, now they’re gonna hold onto the project for as long as they can while they milk the situation, until the ****ing thing leaks and Lupe goes batshit and decides he doesn’t feel like recording anything for 6 months. I feel like I’ve seen this movie before.

Der Mann hat schon recht, Lupe hat sich alles selbst versaut, hätte der nächste Superstar sein können, aber seine Einstellung stimmt einfach nicht.

Ich glaube ich hatte schon letzten Winter von diesem Album gehört mit dem Kommentar das es in 1-2 Monaten releast.

Oder irre ich mich jetzt komplett.

Aber sonst ist Lupe neben Eminem lyrisch und technisch aller höchstes Level.Naja an Slim kommt aber trotzdem niemand vorbei :)
 
lupes letztes album konnt ich mir gar nich geben ausser 2-3 tracks ich will den jung auf bling bling beats
 
Vorhin mal wieder "Food & Liquor" gehört und wieder völlig begeistert! :) Tracks wie "Sunshine", "Hurt Me Soul", "Daydreamin', "He Say She Say" und natürlich "Kick Push" gehören zum freshsten, was das letzte Jahrzehnt hervorgebracht hat! :cool: Für mich 'n persönlicher Klassiker! Was für'n unfassbar schönes Album das doch war, Lupe auf Soul-Beats -> perfekt! :thumbsup:

Ja richtig, geb dir mal "Slow Down" & " Cold winter" meine zwei favorits, vobei ich Daydreamin auch dazu zähle :)

Lupe auf Soul Beats ist echt nen Traum, Food & Liquor ist für mich auch nen persönlicher Klassiker. :)
