Host Datwon Thomas sits down with rap legend Redman, for the first episode of RIV’s “The Real Ones”, the interview-style series that features iconic artists that have influenced music and culture. Redman is a regular with the RIV team, having collaborated on a slate of content in recent years from “YA!”, “Black Man In America”, “I Love Hip Hop”, and more. In the 90’s, Redman rose to fame alongside Wu-Tang alum Method Man, finding massive success with projects like Muddy Waters in 1996. Redman has since announced a follow-up with Muddy Waters Too, releasing within the next year. Datwon Thomas is a New York native, and is currently the Editor-In-Chief at VIBE Magazine where he began his career in hip hop publication years ago. Before assuming his current position, Thomas was a major part of XXL, RIDES, and KING Magazine.
