Die einzige Top10 Single von Materboy, der meiner Meinung nach besten Euro Dance Gruppe Deutschlands.
Jenseits von Deutschland waren Masterboy in Frankreich, Osteuropa, Asien und Südamerika sehr erfolgreich. Es gibt ein Video, wo sie in den 10er Jahren in Lima landen und von massenhaft Fans am Flughafen mit Plakaten etc. empfangen werden.

überragender lead synth, hab ich auch schon gesamplet.
statt sich wie die meisten anderen genre vertreter einen GI zu holen übernahm produzent tommy die rap parts bei masterboy selbst. teilweise klingt das etwas unbeholfen und auch der badische dialekt kommt manchmal durch. das führte wohl auch zu der line "gegen dich rappt masterboy/ wie nas, du toy/" von fast forward auf ihr müsst noch üben.

Krass. Also Loona muss ja schon keine Angst haben mit Whitney Houston verwechselt zu werden, aber die hier ist ja komplett unteridrisch. Loona Version aber certified Banger.

mitte der 90er entwickelte ich der sound der 2 brothers stärker richtung happy hardcore.
hhc war einerseits schneller und härter als euro dance, setzte anderseits aber stark auf verträumte und fröhliche pads und keys, hatte keine rap parts und häufig gepitchte vocals mit texten über fairytales, wonderlands und rainbows... eine massentauglichere spielart des gabber/hardcore sounds der populären thunderdome compilations.
während euro dance größtenteils rein kommerziell war, waren die verbindungen im happy hardcore mit der techno und rave szene eher vorhanden.

würde man bei take my hand noch die genretypischen distorted 909 kicks und ein break beat sample hinzufügen hätte man schon einen typischen dune song, die zeitgleich erfolgreich waren.

icch find beide versionen gleich gut, aber paradisio kriegen als das original den platz in der top100.

mit dem ikonischen panflöten sound und nur 100bpm eher untypischer dancefloor song.
coco jamboo ist einer der größten genre hits, hielt sich 30 wochen in den charts und ging platin, konnte aber nur platz 2 erreichen - robert miles, michael jacson und los del rio hatten stets die nase vorn.
mzee-rapper @Nicotin hat einen track mit dem sample der panflöte gemacht und über myspace ein feature mit lazy dee von mr president realisiert.

mit über 2mio (!) verkauften einheiten war haddaways debut single mit abstand sein größter erfolg und gehört zu den bekanntesten titeln des genres, der auf keiner 90s party fehlt. ich finde aber life besser.
