Fuer mich einer der besten Rapper ever, fand Section 80 und How to pimp a Butterfly auch sehr nice, aber hab mich fuer diese beiden Alben entschieden, auf den anderen Alben außer DAMN sind zwar noch groeßere Banger drauf fuer mich, als Gesamtkonstrukt auf Albumlaenge fand ich DAMN aber am harmonischsten. Wobei ich wie gesagt die anderen drei genannten auch sehr gefeiert hab, war ne sehr knappe Entscheidung im Endeffekt, kann da auch nachvollziehen, wenn man das Ranking da anders setzt..

Bei Humble hab ich mir in der Hook immer vorgestellt, dass er statt be humble was anderes sagt und wie ein wuetender Frank Vogel auf der Magic Bank nach einer dummen Aktion von Bismack diesen auswechselt und diesen dabei wuetend anbruellt: Biyombo, sit down! Das versteht außer @FifthAce1 aber eh keiner, was vielleicht auch besser ist lel

Wie Nore in der Limo von Falki interviewt wurde - gibts glaub ich nichts mehr zu sagen. drink champs etc. - immer gut animal thugs zu haben die für ihr Einkommen zwar Kommerzmucke machten, aber wissen was richtig ist.
Leute feiern heute Griselda etc. Nore hat zumindest seinen eigenen Stil und ist besser als die.
Ansonsten kann ich Ottl schon etwas nachvollziehen.
Aber er hat 50 Cent auf der 7 was ein kardinaler Fehler ist.

Outkast hat sich schon fast ueber die Jahre von einer Rapgruppe in eigenes Genre entwickelt. ATLiens ist wohl eine meiner meist played LPs und hat mich sehr gepraegt, auch wenn ich es damals noch wie der letzte deutsche Joerg stets falsch ausgesprochen hab (so wie mans liest) und noch gar nicht wusste, dass ATL fuer Atlanta steht, eine meiner absoluten Lieblingsscheiben.

"Don Cartagena" war ein bisschen "Capital Punishment" für Arme, aber ist schon ein hörenswertes Album. Fat Joe hat darauf ja nur 2 Solo-Tracks oder so. Fand "Jealous One's Envy" aber am stärksten von seinen ersten Alben.

Hatte mich Anfang des Threads um ein paar Tage vertan bzw. einer Facebookmeldung faelschlich blind vertraut, aber heute vor 23 Jahren haben sie Topec abjeknallt die Schweine fuer mich persoenlich mit Biggie zusammen der beste Rapper ever. Von daher nochmal den Cheatmode aktiviert und das Greatest Hits Album genommen, allerdings ist das auch die Mutter aller Greatest Hits und Best ofs da draußen. 25 Hits quasi, anstatt wie ueblich zahlreiche davon zu verlinken, kipp ich jetzt etwas Liquor ueber den Boden und poste zu seinem Gedenken mit einer Traene am Auge (Tattoo) nur dieses hier:

Das Album war so eine Art heiliger Gral fuer mich und ist wohl mit Abstand die meist gespielte LP, die ich je hatte. Meth und Red einfach in topform, direkt das Intro ist schon top, die Skits sind top, jede Videoauskopplung ist richtig gut geworden (lediglich etwas bescheiden, das fuer das How High Video nicht die deutlich staerkere Version vom Album genommen wurde). Apropos How High...war jahrelang mein Lieblingstrack und wir hatten in unserer Schule damals so einen leicht stark behinderten Musiklehrer, in der letzten Stunde vor den Weihnachtsferien 1999 durfte jeder sein Lieblingslied vorstellen, musste das allerdings per Performance tun, d.h. etwa vorsingen, mit nem Instrument nach spielen oder ne Playbackeinlage dazu machen. Waehrend die meisten also irgendnen populaeren Chartscheiß oder irgendwelche deutschen Klassiker zu Preis gaben, hab ich Acapella einfach ohne abzulesen oder iwas beide Parts von Meth & Red von How High runter gespittet als gaebs kein morgen. Der Lehrer, der zeitgleich auch unser Englischlehrer war hat mich danach mit Entsetzen locker ne Minute mit offenen Mund angestarrt, als waere ich ein Alien, ehe er seine Sprache wieder gefunden hat und waehrend er vorher jeden ausgiebig lobte, dann nur nach dem Motto 'Hier gibt es nichts zu sehen, gehen sie weiter' lediglich sagte, "Aehm, okay wer moechte als naechstes?"

Ok bevor sich alle echauffieren, welche Classics alle fehlen...denkt dran es ist halt "nur" mein Ranking, hab dabei festgestellt, dass mindestens 50% aller geposteten LPs (wahrscheinlich sogar deutlich mehr noch) zwischen 1993-1998 released wurden. Was fuer glorreiche sechs Jahre das einfach waren.

Okay, die Wu-Tang Forever muss ich auch mention, ist auch ein gutes Album, und allein Triumph und Its yourz (der Beat und Raekowns straighter Einstieg allein sind schon sowas von purer Zucker einfach und die "Fankulisse" kommt ueber ne gute Surroundanlage soo heftig)

sind so unfassbare Bretter einfach, aber es ist etwas zu lang insgesamt und das auch mit nen paar sehr bescheidenen Nummern drauf. Dennoch, wenn mich jemand nach meinem favorite Rappart fragt, wuerd ich wohl nach wie vor noch instant ohne mit der Wimper zu zucken mit Inspectah Deck auf Triumph antworten.

Viva schmunzel

ABER Platz 1 gebuehrt im Prinzip ausschließlich der Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). Fuer mich das Alltime No.1 Album, hat mich komplett gefesselt, der komplette Shaolin-Vibe, was RZA da an dazu perfekten passenden Beats gebastelt hat und Samples verarbeitet hat und zu der damaligen Zeit dann noch einfach mal neun quasi neue, topskillige Artist auf einen Schlag, die zu Beginn der Karriere einfach nur Feuer gespuckt haben, das war nochmal eine Art unfassbares WTF-Momentum selbst innerhalb Golden Era. Wie gesagt im Gegensatz zu der Forever auch mit optimaler Track-Anzahl ohne wirklich negative Ausschlaege. Stellvertretend fuer dieses Meisterwerk zum Abschluss meiner Top 61 "nur" mein Favorit des Albums:
