Noisy Stylus & Birdy Nam Nam - Album Release Dates

"Table Manners" from Noisy Stylus

German DJs and all round nice guys Noisy Stylus have taken a break from winning DMC and ITF team battles and have lovingly crafted a new LP for your discerning ears. Entitled "Table Manners", Tre Styles, Tobeyer, Adlib and Dynamike have put together 14 quality tracks of skratch loveliness.

Quoting the press release:

"It's not the way the music is made that matters, but how it sounds and makes you feel. Using their hands and minds, Noisy Stylus have crafted endearing compositions that span various genres, showing the flexibility and versatility of the turntable. In 14 tracks, Noisy Stylus cover a lot of ground: rhythms are wide and varied, from melancholic songs such as 'Never Leave' to uptempo, grimey offerings like 'Stick 'em Up', with it's beatbox infused beat and parody of the heist scene in the movie 'Heat'.

Elsewhere you'll find tracks such as 'Battle Mentality', a hard hitting song that tips its hat off to their days of battling the world's finest, 'Music Sucks', an atmospheric piece with hints of house music, 'Broccoli Wars' and 'The Lesson', two hip hop, upbeat offerings that showcase a more comedic angle, 'Kindness', a funky piece that both soothes your mood and makes you long for calmer shores, and 'Summertime', a song that goes from big beat drums to African tribal rhythms effortlessly, backed by funky horns, guitars and melodic vocals including a sample of Ella Fitzgerald's original version.

'Table Manners' offers a journey through music guided by the hands of the most talented German foursome. From hip hip to house, movie samples to scratch drums, Noisy Stylus are bringing through an exciting mix of musical influences and a vision of what it is to be a musician in the 21st century. Remember everything you'll hear on this album came from their turntables and from working together as a band."

It's a varied bunch of tracks - some full-on skratch madness along with more melodic chill out style stuff. I'm a bit hard to please these days when it comes to full CD's and often take a lot of listens to get into something but this grabbed me straight away.

Release date in Europe is 29th August and one month later for the US and comes in double vinyl and CD format.
