da bist du leider auf fake-news reingefallen. vertraue niemals screenshots ohne link/quellenangabe. das interview stammt aus 2019 (here you go: https://www.wmagazine.com/story/frank-ocean-cover-story-interview) und beinhaltet keine einzige zeile über das neue album, geschweige denn, dass dieses von genannten genres inspiriert wurde. er sagte lediglich, dass er sich zum damaligen zeitpunkt dafür interessierte ("i’ve been interested in club, and the many different iterations of nightlife for music and songs and so the things I look at now have a lot to do with those scenes: detroit, chicago, techno, house, french electronic…") und erzählt von den subkulturellen (musik-)einflüssen seiner kindheit und jugend...

Es ist genau das was Dawn Richard seit Jahren schon macht. Die kennen aber die meisten nicht.
Denke da kommt was dieses Jahr
Hoffentlich kommt ez mal was neues von dem
gab aber einen neuen Song
I want to talk about why I'm here, because it's not because of the new album. [rede über seinen 2020 verstorbenen bruder, mit dem er regelmäßig auf das coachella ging] not that there's not a new album, but there's not right now. it's not right now.
. here is why it was trash from someone who was in the crowd (aside from the livestream):
he started an hour late and there were masked men that randomly marched in a circle for like a good 10 minutes…people in the crowd were pissed as it’s the last night of coachella and people have things to do on monday
frank was hidden backstage for 95% of the performance and no one could see him…if they could, they’re lying. everyone was just watching the screen, which they tried to shoot like an artsy, experimental movie but the camera moved away from frank all the time. he wasn’t even on the screen when he started with novocane
he did different versions of almost every song that had the tempo/lyrics altered (bad religion lyrics about allah completely removed) so no one could sing along…we couldn’t even recognize the songs until halfway through (wiseman)
acted pretentious throughout the performance, second song he restarts it and is pissed off at his band…in addition to the five minute gaps between songs where he literally walks off stage. his band members look incredibly uncomfortable
lip-syncs nights, nikes, and chanel and cuts off songs halfway to play a jersey club remix where his vocals are sped up (solo)
has a random child do a random performance of a song where the child is supposed to be him
his dj wasted 15 minutes doing bad jersey club remixes of a bunch of his songs while frank was chilling backstage and the set seemed longer than his actual singing
gets cut off due to curfew and walks off stage smirking even though he started an hour late
it really felt like he was trolling the crowd and embodying his tortured perfectionist artist persona but people easily saw through that shit. i feel terrible for the people who camped out all day for his set.
waste of fucking time.
