wird wohl nur wenige hier interessieren aber the mole (motion recordings) plant eine europatour. hierfür sucht er noch leute die ihn buchen wollen oder ihn anders unterstützen:
hello,
this is a form letter regarding my upcoming "ashamed to be american" european tour in the fall.
i've been very busy and scattered, so i've lost some of my e-mails and forgotten some dates that were discussed. i'd like to follow up with everyone that i've spoken to (and some who i haven't) regarding bookings and sleeping arrangements, and let you know that the tour is now planned to begin in late september or early october, lasting for one month, including 10 countries (3 days in each country), and it will PROBABLY include myself along with terms none, body holliday (of headley grange), demune, tyconichi, a videographer, and possibly one or two dancing girls. at this point it's unconfirmed whether or not demune will be coming. so what i'd like to do is to book my performances as "the mole and friends" and i will plan on performing for at least 2 hours, possibly more. i'd also be happy to play 2 or 3 shows in each country. and i'd like to arrange places to sleep for 8 people, even though there may not be that many. the countries that are definite are: france, switzerland, england, germany, holland, and finland. the other possibilities, which i have to narrow down, are: bulgaria, romania, poland, sweden, austria & italy.
in order for me to plan the exact dates that i'll be in each country, i'd like everyone to please reply, telling me when in late september, october, and early november, would be the best time to come.
another factor in my decision is the airfare from california to europe (most of us will be leaving from california). i'll want to fly in and out of the countries that will get us the cheapest fares. so if anyone knows about that, or if anyone knows how to get cheap airfare to/from and within europe, please let me know.
another thing: i'm still looking for more contacts in all of the countries, but especially bulgaria, romania, poland, sweden, and austria (i lost all my contacts from these places), so if anyone can forward me e-mail addresses, or can forward this to any good contacts, that would be great.

ppps - it would be fun to collaborate on some music with local artists while i'm traveling, so i'd appreciate any contacts/links for good musicians who might be interested in recording. AND it would also be good to have opening acts for each of the shows, so i'd like to know who might be available for that.
pppps - it would be cool to make radio appearances while we're in town, so any info on that would be great.

i've been asked for video demo's. i wasted $30 yesterday mailing videos which i now realize are blank. i don't even know if you europeans can play vhs tapes. so today i edited a computer video - www.motionrecordings.com/livedemo.html - it's rather rough but i think you can get a bit of an idea of what we can do from it. (unfortunately, it looks as though demune won't be joining us due to a lack of funds. maybe next time.)
so the next step is to set concrete dates for the shows.
as i mentioned before, i'd like to find local acts to open up the shows.
i'll be interested in local radio stations/shows that might give me airtime, so i can promote my show and my album.
any links to internet messageboards based in the above-mentioned countries would be appreciated so that we can promote the shows that way. (we'll also be posting printable concert flyers for each of the shows, so that my fans can help to promote.)
i'm looking for overseas distribution of my new album (www.motionrecordings.com/whirlwindpromo ), and i think that it could only help to have it stocked in european stores before i perform there. so if you know any good distributors or labels that i should talk to, please let me know.
