wer diesen typischen ruffen new york hardcore sound von den early 90s sucht ist hier richtig aufgehoben. s geht allerdings auch mal etwas jazziger/ ruhiger zu.

ich finde das album ist absolut unterbewertet und kaum zu glauben, aber selbst die vinyl gibts schon fuer wenig geld bei discogs. letztenendes wirklich eins meiner lieblingsalben.

Da Bush Babees - Gravity

Da Bush Babees aus Flatbush, Brooklyn, NY bestehen aus Mr. Man, Lee Majors und Y-Tee. Das Album Gravity zeichnet sich besonders durch sehr gute lyrics und richtig freshe Beats aus. Mos Def und Q-Tip sind Gastrapper. Es ist ein Juwel der 90er. Die Gruppe hatte sich eigentlich 1997 aufgelöst, aber 2005 kam es zur Reunion. Ein neues Album wurde ebenfalls angekündigt, bleibt bis heute aber nur eine Ankündigung, leider.

Ist übrigens eins meiner Lieblingsalben um die Dopeness des Albums noch ein bisschen mehr hervorzuheben :D

Nee man auf keinen Fall. Ambushed weißt weder die lyrische Dopeness von Gravity auf, noch kommen die Beats an Gravity ran. Ambushed fehlt darüber hinaus noch gute Gastparts. Aber über Geschmack lässt sich ja bekanntermaßen nicht streiten ;)

also lyrisch geb ich idr bedingt recht, da gabs auf jeden fall ne große entwicklung, aber hisichtlich der beats und des gesamtsounds, da mag ich das debut eben mehr, auf grund des rougheren sounds. wie du schon sagtest, ueber geschmacl laesst sich net streiten. letztenendes sagte ich auch schon - beide alben sind definitiv großartig und ebenfalls klassiker.

nicht zu vergessen die instrumental-version. beides in meinen crates. wirklich großartig. ich muss mal zugeben, haette nicht gedacht dass es auf mzee soviele leute mit so exquisiten geschmack hinsichtlich rapmusik gibt. mad props!!!

Zum Album möchte ich eigtl. nicht viel sagen, ich denke der Titel, das Cover und die Hörproben sprechen insgesamt für sich. Nur so viel: die Platte wurde von Creative Juices, die "Untergrund" einfach perfekt verkörpern, releast und die Platte ist insgesamt sehr raw; hungrig geflowt, inhaltlich intelligent und Beats, die Härte, Atmosphäre und gute Sample-Arbeit zu vereinen wissen.

Mykill Miers - The Second Coming

Für mich einer der krassesten unterbewertesten Rapper überhaupt.
Eigentlich stammt er von der Westküste aber sein Sound geht eher in Richtung Eastcoast.
Wie auch immer, der Junge hat Skills ohne Ende und spuckt Reime wie ein Maschinengewehr Kugeln.
Muss man sich auf jeden Fall selbst mal geben. The Second Coming ist sein zweites Album bis jetzt.
Das Debutalbum knallt auch ordentlich, aber das Nachfolgealbum ist mMn viel ausgereifter, technischer, härter.
Dreht bloß die Boxen auf Maximum wenn ihr seine Lieder pumpt :cool:
