Oh Ebro. The bottom line is, you couldn't produce the headliner for rap's Super Bowl. And that's your job. Your responsibility. To the culture. And to the rap fans that paid money to see Nicki Minaj. Rosenberg should've been instructed to tuck his tongue in while on the premises. Your station has been clashing with Nick over the past few months (including Flex snaggin' an exclusive that was promised to DJ Clue), but—obviously by booking her—the assumption was made by Ms. Minaj that y'all were attempting to make amends. Instead you got roped into an old conflict with Lil Wayne—who's never felt fully embraced by Hot 97. He even dissed y'all on Tha Carter's liner notes in 2004. And, now being in a position of power, he can pull all of his acts. And he did. So what can you really do now? Are you gonna pull all YMCMB music off your playlist? Highly unlikely. You put your personal bravado above handling the situation in the best interest of your listeners. And for that, you owe them an apology.
You can pump up your career sales figures all you want, but we all know your second album simply isn't impacting the way the first one did. So you really shouldn't have turned down one of the biggest looks of your career because of the same tired comment from a radio jock you don't even respect. You let some deranged stans take you off your square. To overreact —was wack. Your true fans wanted you there.
"First of all, Nicki Minaj was the only one who ruined 55,000 fans' expectations of the night," said Dr Dre in a recent interview. "It has nothing to do with Rosenberg. You go out there and you perform for your fans."
The rapper had equally harsh words for the Hot 97 DJ as well, adding: "We have too many what I call 'semi-super experts' who always try to redefine hip-hop from its infancy. She's an artist whether I like her or I don't like her. My daughter loves her and thinks that she's the world, and that's the case."
First of all, where is Detox?
ist doch scheissegal, nicki minaj hat ne dicke kiste, die darf sich alles erlauben.
