Für mich neben 6LACK der beste R'n'B Newcomer der letzten 2-3 Jahre!
Das Debütalbum fand ich schon soper und laut den Vorabtracks wird das hier auch wieder gut

Die EP davor war besser als das Album jetzt.

Mir ist das auf Albumlänge irgendwie alles zu weichgespült.

Schade weil er eigentlich ein talentierter Junge ist.

Mal abwarten was da in Zukunft noch kommt.

Khalid revealed that the EP will feature about 8 songs and will have collaborations from Ari Lennox, Majid Jordan, 6LACK, JID and more. “There’s eight songs and six of them are collaborations. I’m going to name them. Oh, we got Ari Lennox. We got Smino. We got JID. We got QUIN. We got 6lack. We got Lucky Daye. We got Kiana Ledé. We got Majid Jordan. Man. I hope I’m not forgetting anybody. I love that they are either R&B or hiphop oriented all of them… Because that’s, I mean, that’s what I listen to,” he said.

gut geworden. gefällt mir besser als seine alten alben.

Habs jetzt zweimal durch und finds sehr stark. Soll ja nur als Appetizer für sein kommendes Album dienen, daher auch die Mixtape-Betitelung, aber ist echt durchgehend auf einem sehr hohen Niveau und auch das Soundbild ist extrem stimmig. Gäste liefern eigentlich auch alle ab, hab echt nichts auszusetzen. "All I Feel Is Rain" ist aktuell mein Highlight, vor allem der kleine Beatswitch am Ende ist brutal. "Present", "Backseat", "Retrograde" (6LACK ) und der Titeltrack sind auch top. Hoffe das neue Album kann da weitermachen, befürchte aber das wird dann wieder zu soft.
