spannendes release. owusu genesis ist australier. das cover lässt einen ein 08/15-trap-release erwarten, aber man bekommt einen wilden genremix aus rap, soul, punk, und was weiß ich noch alles. thematisiert werden depressionen und rassismus. am ende klingt das ganze aber sehr rund. empfehlung.

hab nicht erwartet, dass das SO gut sein wird :D bin schwer begeistert

der erste akt, in dem es um depressionen geht (track 1-7), gefällt mir am besten. die video-auskopplungen wurden auch perfekt ausgewählt - the other black dog, don't need you & gold chains sind wirklich großartig
der akt, in dem es um rassismus geht (track 9-12) gefällt mir auch gut, aber lyrisch wäre da mehr gegangen, find ich. black dogs! ist der einzige song, der mich auf dauer dann doch etwas nervt

hooks von a song about fishing und no looking back verdammt catchy
alles in allem ein rundes ding und anwärter auf aoty für mich

scars inside our shoes but we just tap it off, clap it off

Stabile Platte, find ich cool dass er das Black Dog-Motiv aufgreift, kannte das nur von der Graphic Novel von Matthew Johnstone. Ich glaub das wird mein designiertes Sommeralbum für 2021, ähnlich wie THA PLAYA$ MANUAL im letzten Jahr
