"Bernie Sanders wants to stand up at the next debate — and his campaign is accusing Joe Biden of wanting to sit down.

After a private call Friday with CNN, which is moderating the March 15 debate with the Democratic National Committee, Sanders' team balked at a new proposed format for debate, saying it gives his opponent Biden too much of a break in their first one-on-one face-off. Biden’s camp denied that it was pressing for a sit-down debate.

The format for the next debate in Arizona — their first since Biden’s blowout Super Tuesday victories — would have the candidates seated for the first time this election cycle and take multiple questions from the audience. In the prior 10 debates, the candidates stood at lecterns and nearly all questions were asked by the professional moderators.


“Why does Joe Biden not want to stand toe-to-toe with Sen. Sanders on the debate stage March 15 and have an opportunity to defend his record and articulate his vision for the future?” asked Jeff Weaver, Sanders’ senior adviser.

Biden’s campaign and the DNC said the format for the debate was decided by the party and CNN. The news network declined to comment and referred questions to the DNC.

“We will participate in whatever debate CNN choses to stage: standing, sitting, at podiums, or in a town hall,” Biden’s deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield said. “The problem for the Sanders campaign is not the staging of the debate, but rather, the weakness of Sen. Sanders’ record and ideas.”

The Sanders campaign’s accusations unfold just as his supporters and some Republicans have stepped up their criticisms of the 77-year-old Biden’s physical fitness and mental acuity after lapses on the campaign trail and multiple poor debate performances."[7Quote]

Tests sind wohl auch Mangelware. Die Amis wird es richtig hart treffen. In Krisenzeiten ist eine Regierung, die diese Bezeichnung auch verdient hat, schon ganz geil.
 
Man kann nur hoffen, dass abgesehen von Trumps Ignoranz gegenüber den Thema, die unteren Ebenen der Administration vernünftig arbeiten.

A stutter does not get worse as a person ages, but trying to keep it at bay can take immense physical and mental energy. Biden talks all day to audiences both small and large. In addition to periodically stuttering or blocking on certain sounds, he appears to intentionally not stutter by switching to an alternative word—a technique called “circumlocution”—which can yield mangled syntax. I’ve been following practically everything he’s said for months now, and sometimes what is quickly characterized as a memory lapse is indeed a stutter. As Eric Jackson, the speech pathologist, pointed out to me, during a town hall in August Biden briefly blocked on Obama, before quickly subbing in my boss. The headlines after the event? “Biden Forgets Obama’s Name.” Other times when Biden fudges a detail or loses his train of thought, it seems unrelated to stuttering, like he’s just making a mistake. The kind of mistake other candidates make too, though less frequently than he does.

Tu dir bitte einen Gefallen und vergleiche Biden heute mit Biden 2012 oder 2016 und erzähl mir dann nochmal, dass das kein riesiger kognitiver Verlust ist. Das ist nicht irgendeine linguistische Technik gegen Stottern lmao. Der Mann ist 77 und hatte ein Hirnaneurysma.

Also stottert er anscheinend bei dem Wort Obama. Das ist ja dann fast schon genial, wie er in dem Clip zwei Fliegen mit einer Klappe schlägt.

Da braucht man sich keine Illusionen machen, die USA wird gnadenlos gefickt sein. Das Gesundheitssystem ist schon ohne Pandemie hart an der Grenze und wenn sich dann die Leute erst noch überlegen müssen ob sie sich eine zweiwöchige Quarantäne überhaupt leisten können. Plus der inkompetente Staatsapparat - Pence im Expertengremium :D

zumal das doch eh nie wirklich für die masse der amerikaner ausdrucksstark war, wenn man sich anguckt wie die aktien heute in den usa verteilt sind im vergleich zu den 70er und 80er jahren
aber die bevölkerung glaubts ihm halt und hinterfragt kaum
