Couldnt do nothin wit me, they put the devil on me
I’d have preferred if niggaz squeezed the metal on me
rumors of Lucifer, I dont know who to trust
whole world want my demise, turn the music up
Hear me clearly, if y’all niggaz fear me
just say y’all fear me, **** all these fairy tales
go to hell, this is God engineering
this is a hail mary pass, y’all interfering
He without sin shall cast the first stone
so y’all look in the mirror, double check y’all appearance
I said that I’m amazing….
Not that Im a mason.

Jay-Z & DJ Green Lantern – Creative Control (Mixtape)

Cover

Before it was the mighty Neil Armstrong, DJ Green Lantern infamously toured with Jigga Man as his #1 on the 1’s and 2’s. In fact, around the time of his 2006 album Kingdom Come Green & Jay had intended to drop ‘Presidential Invasion’ — a promotional mixtape created while the two were touring Africa and promoting Jay’s “The Diary of Jay-Z: Water for Life” conquest to aid African countries in the pursuit of clean water. That mixtape never materialized, and the hip-hop world was left waiting for that elusive Hova v. Evil Genius collaboration.

Four years later — with the summer of 2010 as the backdrop, and Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label and DJ Green Lantern’s Team Invasion as the suppliers — S. Carter takes it to the next level with a new kind of Creative Control. Green and Jay do the damn thing and drop this official new mixtape masterpiece, complete with trademark GL production, remixes, live appearances and never-before-heard music.

Jay-Z and author dream hampton’s long delayed book Decoded is set for a November 16th release through Random House imprint Spiegel & Grau. The book will serve as both a memoir, and an exploration of some of the God MC’s most infamous lyrics through in-depth discussions with Hov himself and some of the people closest to him. Outside of his lyrical content, Jay has been notoriously guarded about certain details of is life and has put off the release of this book for years now, so it should make for an interesting read to say the least.
