LP Kid Cudi - Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin (30.09.16)

Muss es noch öfter hören, aber gefällt mir spontan sehr gut. Top 3 Cudi würd ich sagen, nach MOTM 1 und 2! "Indicud" hatte vllt. noch den einen oder anderen stärkeren Einzeltrack mehr, aber da war auch einiges an Ausschuss drauf. "By Design" für's Erste mein Fav.

von André müsste viel mehr kommen!
übrigens spielt er bei der tollen serie "american crime" mit (staffel 2)
 
Verstehe nicht, warum Indicud überall so schlecht weg kommt.
Vor allem die ersten 12, 13 Songs sind für mich locker MOTM2-Niveau
Girls unfassbarer Ohrwurm, Immortal und Red Eye sehr geil, Just What I Am eh eine Hymne, usw.
 
teilweise echt gutes album, leider zu lang (satte 86 minuten, die cd-version müsste also kürzer ausfallen, außer es wird ein doppel-album), aber trotzdem sein wohl bestes release seit dem ersten. mal kucken, was noch wächst oder sich schnell abnutzt. soweit auch kaum instant ohrwürmer dabei wie auf motm1, dafür mehr moody voodoo-shit. die etwas "dschungel-mäßigen" einflüsse kommen größtenteils auch nice, zum teil so timbaland noir-zeugs i-wie.

"frequency", "swim in the light" (die verzerrten vocals am ende :thumbsup:), "releaser", "by design", "baptized in fire", "flight at first sight/advanced" (tyler-feature wäre perfekt gewesen), "distant fantasies" (der soundtrack zu nem ayahuasca-horrortrip), "mature nature", "kitchen" (schöne bassline und swaggy disco-strings), "the guide", "surfin'" (speakerboxxx-mäßig) :thumbsup:

mir kamen beim ersten hören fast die tränen gerade wenn man den song hört und an cudis mentale verfassung denkt


und andre3000 einfach mit dem besten part auf cudis und travis scotts album... heftig

Es sind schon ein paar coole Tracks dabei. Allen voran natürlich "by Design".
Leider nervt auf vielen Tracks Kudi's komisches Gesumme, Gebrumme, Gejohle oder wie man diese Geräusche, die er von sich gibt, auch immer nennen soll.

muss hinzufügen.. das wird bei mir in die ami top 15 ever rutschen... locker... eher noch höher

die ersten 6 songs sind perfekt.. hab die zunächst nonstop gehört bis ich gemerkt habe dass track 7 mit will smiths tochter mein lieblingstrack ist.. ihre stimme :eek: die message...
und es geht weiter und weiter... does it.....

und was ist dance for eternity für ein wunderschöner song




Kid Cudi 5. Oktober 2016 · Its been difficult for me to find the words to what Im about to share with you because I feel ashamed. Ashamed to be a leader and hero to so many while admitting I've been living a lie. It took me a while to get to this place of commitment, but it is something I have to do for myself, my family, my best friend/daughter and all of you, my fans. Yesterday I checked myself into rehab for depression and suicidal urges. I am not at peace. I haven't been since you've known me. If I didn't come here, I wouldve done something to myself. I simply am a damaged human swimming in a pool of emotions everyday of my life. Theres a ragin violent storm inside of my heart at all times. Idk what peace feels like. Idk how to relax. My anxiety and depression have ruled my life for as long as I can remember and I never leave the house because of it. I cant make new friends because of it. I dont trust anyone because of it and Im tired of being held back in my life. I deserve to have peace. I deserve to be happy and smiling. Why not me? I guess I give so much of myself to others I forgot that I need to show myself some love too. I think I never really knew how. Im scared, im sad, I feel like I let a lot of people down and again, Im sorry. Its time I fix me. Im nervous but ima get through this. I wont be around to promote much, but the good folks at Republic and my manager Dennis will inform you about upcoming releases. The music videos, album release date etc. The album is still on the way. Promise. I wanted to square away all the business before I got here so I could focus on my recovery. If all goes well ill be out in time for Complexcon and ill be lookin forward to seeing you all there for high fives and hugs. dance for eternity geht straight ins herz... und wounds :eek: wieviel kraft spendet dieser song

wie kann "zu lang" ein kritikpunkt sein wenn jeder song qualität hat? seid froh über diesen output.. sind ja 4 teile... sieh es als 4 EP's und gut ist :)
 
Jetzt endlich auch mal rangetraut. Ist halt wirklich so, fast nur die erste Hälfte ist gut, aber dafür so extrem gut - MOTM Flashbacks, vor allem natürlich bei Swim In The Light und The Commander. Sehr schön.
 
habs gerade mal wieder in ganzer Länge gehört und muss sagen, dass das musikalisch schon deutlich interessanter/spannender/besser is als MotM3

MotM3 natürlich trotzdem nice, obwohl es nicht unbedingt den Titel verdient - da sind nur eine Hand voll Tracks drauf, die wirklich MotM-Feeling versprühen (Mr Solo Dolo III, Sad People, Sept. 16, The Void, Lovin' Me, The Pale Moonlight & Lord I Know)

Theoretisch hätte man die Titel tauschen sollen. PPDS wäre ein passender MOTM Nachfolger, MOTM 3 dafür ein eigenständiges Album als PPDS.
PPDS immer noch unglaublich gut, wird einfach nicht alt. Inzwischen ist glaube ich "Dance 4 Eternity" oder "Swim in the light" mein Favorit, aber sind sehr viele gute drauf.
