So, der Gute bringt die Tage eine EP raus, das habe ich jetzt mal als Anlass genommen, einen Thread zu eröffnen. Weiß nicht, ob es vielleicht in der Plattenecke besser aufgehoben wäre.

Rejjie Snow ist ein Rapper aus Dublin, kenne ihn seit "Lost in Empathy". Er war glaube ich u.a. auch der Voract bei der Kendrick Lamar Tour.

Seine EP heißt "rejovich" und kommt am 25.06. jetzt raus.

Rejjie Snow ist alles andere als dein gewöhnlicher Nachwuchsrapper. Der 19-jährige irische Bücherwurm verehrt Erykah Badu, Frank Sinatra und Chet Baker und wurde von einer Management-Agentur unter Vertrag genommen, die sonst Elton John und Grace Jones betreut. Am 24. Juni erscheint bei Kaya Kaya Records, einem Sub-Label von XL Recordings, Rejjie Snows neue EP »Rejovich«. Der ehemalige Graffiti-Writer gilt gerade in US-Medien als eines der großen Rap-Talente aus dem Vereinigten Königreich. Mit der dortigen Bass-Music-Blase hat er wenig bis nichts zu tun, stattdessen erinnern sein komplexer Reimstil und die trockenen Loops an den amerikanischen Underground der Nullerjahre, namentlich die Heldentrias Madlib/Dilla/Doom. »Loveleen« ist die erste Auskopplung seiner EP und ein unverschämt smoother und verträumter Representer. yo, erinnert stimmlich ein wenig an tyler the creator, fans von dem sollten vielleicht mal reinhören
