Auf Universal Dancehall erschien vor kurzem der Hard Drive Riddim

Der Riddim ähnelt dem Orgasm Riddim , in denen jeweils nur die eins des Taktes ein Kick bekommt. Der Riddim ist einer der etwas härteren Gangart und wird vorallem nur die Dancehallfreaks überzeugen können . Etwas auffallend ist Lady Saws Tune, durch Spielereien am Equalizer, Sizzlas Tune hört sich an, als wäre TOK am Werk, durch den Einsatz von Backing Singerns.
Und Lexxus Lehnt sich stark an I wanne get High von AfroMan an!!

Auf Mo´Music Productions erschien 2001 der Flip Riddim. Produziert wurde er von L. (Flabba) Malcom.

Für manche wohl bisschen gewöhnungsbedürftig, hat der Riddim seinen eigenen Charme, da er sich doch durch sein Arrangement etwas vom Einheitsbrei absetzt. Postitv anzumerken ist, dass die Qualität der Pressung sehr gut ist. Das erfreut jeden audiophilen Selecta.

Am überzeugensten in meine Augen der Tune "Style" von Ward 21, den ihr am Schluss des Mixes hört.

2000 kam Glue zum ersten mal auf B-Rich raus. Produziert wurde er von Mr. B. Durch Neuveröffentlichung bleibt der Riddim immer noch aktuell und sollte somit nicht so schnell aus dem Set der Selectas fliegen. Aufgrund der ungewöhnlichen Beatpatterns ist aber gerade für angehenden Selectas ein sauberes Jugglin ein hartes Spiel, also vorsicht. Voralem wenn man wie ich auf 2 1200er mit unterschiedlich ansprechenden Pitch auflegt

Einer Meiner lieblingsriddims ist der "Bitch" produziert von Pionear aus dem Jahr 2000. Das besondere an ihm ist, dass er aus Deutschland kommt und trotzdem burnt und eine Menge hochkarätige DJs und Singer (Elephant Man, Mr Vegas, Lady Saw...) darüber gevoiced haben. Der Bitch wurde sogar in Jamaica releast.

Es gibt übrigens einen ebenfalls sehr geilen RMX vom Bitch Riddim, der von Tom(Cousin von Pionear) produziert wurde und auf der "The Excitement" Compilation von Germaican Records (die auch das Original releast haben)zu hören ist.

Natural Bridge Production respective Rohan Snow ist mit den Rice&Peas Riddim einer der Dancehall Knaller 2001 gelungen. Es ist ein sehr engeriegeladender Riddim, mit einer unglaublich hohen Menge an erstklassigen Tunes.
VP Records und Greensleeve haben jeweils einen eigenen One-Riddim Sampler rausgebracht, zusätzlich gibt es ein paar wenige 7"es auf Greensleeve und eine Grosszahl der Tunes wurde auf Natrual Bridge veröffentlicht.

"water pumpee" sollte jedem ein begriff sein, wer auf dances geht kennt auch mein lieblingstune aus der selection "it's pity". das erstemal das ich was von nosliw höre und muss sagen nuff respect ... bin jetzt aufmerksam auf den jungen ...
dr. ring-ding gefällt mir nicht so, oder anders: ich hätte mehr erwartet. vielleicht voict er den riddim ja nochmal. hoffentlich, wenns wirklich sein liebling ist wird er ihn doch nicht ohne einen mördertune gehen lassen.
crystal axe (wer auch immer das ist) hat doctor's darling in meinen augen in etwas so süsses verwandelt, das schokolade erblasst. hoffe man hört mal mehr von ihr.

Remember Desmond Dekker's big international summer hit "007 (Shanty Town)" from 1967?! This Leslie Kong produced tune is the most enduring and archetypal of all so-called rude-boy records featuring one of the most infectious riddims ever to come from the Beverley's studio band. Now here comes a truly wicked version of that great riddim, courtesy of producer Ingo Rheinbay of Pow Pow Productions from Cologne, Germany. The "Shanty Town (aka Double 'O' Seven)" riddim follows up the original "Celebrate", Pow Pow's first bashment riddim. Although remakes of classic riddims are no rarity in the history of Jamaican music, it doesn't happen that often that we're treated to such a well refurnished version of a shimmering rocksteady beat. Pow Pow's "Shanty Town" is an outstanding new version which fully benefits from a clear, bouncing sound and authentic touch. Available are eight 7" singles, all of them worth of hearing. The artists featured here, including namebrand Jamaican stars such as Sizzla, Anthony B and Luciano and up-and-coming talents like Turbulence and Elijah Prophet, deliver solid to excellent efforts on the riddim. It's almost impossible to pick the standouts as every tune has its own merit and is truly above par, so let's just point out that we're particularly fond of Anthony B's "Time For The Love", Luciano's "Love & Devotion", Turbulence's "Ethiopia Awakes", Sizzla's "Can't Keep Us Down", Jah Mason's "Too Much Dying" and "The Wiff" by Daddy Rings.
