"California Love [RMX]" Featuring Dr. Dre and Roger Troutman Produced by Dr. Dre
Tommy D: f##k it, I can say it: Dre really didn't want nothing to do with that record. He didn't like it at all that 2pac came to Death Row, which I thought was kind of interesting, 'cause I remember he said, "That's it, I'm done with Death Row now that 2pac is here." I was like, "What the f##k!?" I mean, if you look at that album, he didn't do shit on "All Eyez On Me" except for "California Love," which basically was, ughhh, that was going to be his single for Aftermath, right? And Suge heard that shit and said, "f##k it," and rushed up to Dre's house and made him put 2pac on there. So basically he lost his first single for Aftermath, and it ended up being the first single for 2pac. Because the original version of that is three verses with dre rapping on it. The only person who's got that original version is DJ Jam, Snoop's DJ. So basically Suge was like, "f##k it, we're putting 2pac on that shit, and this is going to be the single off the record..." that shit was dope. Suge ain't no dummy.

Busta Rhymes still has a passion for this rap music thing. While the majority of MCs of his vintage called it a career, or should have, years ago, the former Leaders of the New School lyricist has battled and conquered the adversity of advancing age and ****le fans in a young man's game. It doesn't matter that it’s been a decade since his stunning debut, The Coming. Experience doesn't give you a pass in Hip-Hop, it makes it that much more difficult to maintain your position. In Busta's case, on his seventh solo album, The Big Bang (Aftermath/Interscope), the Dungeon Dragon drops his best album in years. Lately he's looking swole like Tony Atlas but like the shaving of his dreads, Busta delivers a streamlined and more personal effort that will fit snugly near the top of his deep catalog.
Put aside, if you will, all the controversy surrounding his silence regarding the murder of his friend Isreal Ramirez or even the rote topic of whether New York Hip-Hop fell off. When you listen to The Big Bang you're listening to a rap veteran at the apex of his game. Though Busta has never been further away than a guest spot on a hit song of the moment's remix, it wasn't until he dropped "Touch It" that his seemingly stalling career got juiced like Jason Giambi in 2001. Though it's been three years since his coolly received It Ain’t Safe No More and this new album has been pushed back multiple times, and leaked on the Internet, it was worth the wait.
Dropping the most sonically consistent release on his new Interscope recording home since his labelmate Game's The Documentary, Busta lined up his features and production almost flawlessly. He dusts off his Native Tongue crony Q-Tip on "You Can't Hold The Torch" and Kamal the Abstract goes on one of his most poignant lyrical rants about losing love for the game since his turn on Slum Village's "Hold Tight". Speaking of SV, their late comrade J Dilla's track is a perfectly subdued amalgamation of supple keys with kicking drums that helps foster a demonstration of the fresh Hip-Hop they miss. It prevents from being another bitching and moaning session on wax as Busta snaps, "I'm tired of n****s complaining how the game change, ya n****s should step up your game cause ya sound strange."
Rather than going the easy route of either overloading the album with guests or dialing up some hyphy or snap tracks, Busta carries the weight of his project mostly for self, relatively. The album drops key cameos (his Flipmode team is conspicuously absent) when necessary but it remains a Busta Rhymes event, rather than a compilation. Most guests play hypeman on the track (Swizz Beatz on the butter smooth anthem "New York Sh*t" and Missy Elliott on the shotgun humming "How We Do It Over Here") or sing hooks (Stevie Wonder's crooning on "Been Through The Storm" adds further heft to Busta's ruminations on overcoming adversity while Green Lantern resurrects Rick James via sample on the rousing "In The Ghetto"). On "Don't Get Carried Away" Dr. Dre drops galloping drums of doom for Busta and Nas to bully with their flows. Nas and Busta make more sense than say, Busta and the latest one hit one wonder from out of town.
A further result of the careful plotted guest list and concepts is a focus on dropping the best work possible throughout an entire album. No theatrics, just heavy rhymes and thumping beats. Maybe it was Dre's Midas touch that focused him, but the result is tracks like the aforementioned "Been Through The Storm" and the Mr. Porter (Denuan Porter aka D12's Kon Artis) laced "They're Out To Get Me" that find an introspective Busta speaking on life's struggles and fair-weather friends, respectively. Busta is supposed to be a Leader of the New School after all and he speaks on the trials he's gone through to keep that status. Stepping up and going beyond his usual modus operandi of late-club friendly singles, okay albums-has steered him clear of the fate he describes on the album's closer, "Legends of the Fall Off". Over a morose Dr. Dre beat with dark chords and a haunting vocal clip, Busta breaks down when to call it a career: "I remember when you did your thing without a doubt tastefully/The problem was you didn't know when to bow out gracefully/Once told never burn out it's best to fade away/Preserve your value so that you can live to see a greater day."
For Busta's sake the prophetic words don't apply today because his talents have yet to atrophy. Though Bus devotes a good deal of his words and verbs to his skill with ratchets and pushing weight-peep his teaming with "Gangsta Republican" Raekwon on the Erick Sermon crafted mood shifter "Goldmine" for the most blatant example-you can't front, he does it well. The deceptively titled "Cocaina" is a better display of lyrical skill that doesn't rely too heavily on cartel raps as is "Get Down", where Busta performs like a party motivator over tribal like drum patterns courtesy of Timbaland.
The album isn't fully clear of trip ups, so some nitpicking is necessary. The awkward at best second single "I Love My B*tch" had heads worrying that his "comeback" was just a fluke. Said song features Kelis on its self-deprecating "I love my b*tch" versus "I love my ni**a" hook is tough to wrap your ears around, radio play be damned. And if Busta had been able to slide in say the "Three's Company" theme flipping internet favorite "Ping" in place of the trite "I'll Do It All" that wastes a glitzy Jelly Roll track, he could easily be finagling with that too liberally granted classic album distinction.
From the recording booth to the stage, Busta Rhymes is still a monster on the microphone. Sure, he can stunt and front with the best of them, peep his gaudy, gold rope inspired diamond studded chains, but when it comes to what matters musically, he's asserted himself to be in an elite class. No longer a character ("I ain't animated like say a Busta Rhymes," said Jay-Z), he's become more human, so to speak. He's a classic artist that dropped a dope album. If you're asking for more, you're probably bitter and stuck in the past, while you ought to be listening to the future.

We also have a heater from the Mrs... Gail Gotti a.k.a. Gigi Gabor from her upcoming "Married To The Mob" album on Infamous/G-Unit. Gail ain't playin' around either. As a matter of fact, the couple are preparing a special interview on WestCoastRydaz which will be the "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" interview where Kurupt and Gail take you into their world and lives. That one is going to be fun... as we are planning on shooting that next week.

"I took a turn down the wrong road and then I ended up, stuck at a dead end sitting thinkin' I'm f*cked/It took a couple years but I finally got up, and dusted off my pants and laced my chucks." - 40 Glocc "Reality Show"
We're back once again with some new heat from Colton City's Infamous/G-Unit signee 40 Glocc. Seems like not a week goes by without us bringing you some new material from the ever-working 40 Glocc, who has been on tour with Mobb Deep in the States, recently selling out the House Of Blues in L.A., while banging out tracks on the road at the same time.
His current street single "Where Them Hammers At" has been getting regular spins on radio stations, and I have the pleasure of letting you check out his new joint called "Reality Show".
So if you hadn't put 40 Glocc down as one of the next to blow, check yourself, the man has come a long way and is ready to finally earn his well deserved shine.

SOHH Exclusive: Lloyd Banks Loses CD In Threesome, Addresses Beef With Cassidy
Wednesday - June 7, 2006 by Carl Chery
After a two-year break, Lloyd Banks is ready to return with his second solo disc, Rotten Apple. In this SOHH.com exclusive, Banks confesses to losing his album in a threesome and addresses his supposed feud with Swizz Beatz and Cassidy.
Lloyd Banks has been in headlines quite a bit in the past six months. Just last week, reports surfaced that shots were fired at a Queens barbecue attended by Banks- leaving an 18-year-old man paralyzed for life. While Banks wouldn't confirm his presence at the barbecue, the Boy Wonder did speak on the tragic situation.
"The barbecue case is kinda crazy because it's being investigated now, so I don't wanna put myself in it," Banks told SOHH.com. "All I know is it was an unfortunate situation. Somebody got shot in the neck too and he's very young. This is just the things that come with the hood. That level of ignorance is just gonna be there, b."
"If I told you I thought it was gon change, I'd be lying to you," Banks added. "I don't think it's gonna change. One of my close homies just got murdered last week. These are the situations that are going on still and that I have to keep above of water and be able to still be relevant. That's the biggest temptation, man. It's trouble."
Trouble did find Banks. Earlier this year, rumors spread that Blue Heffner's album leaked after he forgot it at a woman's home. While the entire LP wasn't leaked, the Queens rapper admits that several songs initially recorded for the album, were.
"It's truth to that rumor. That comes from me doing too much. I was just lost in my ways, ****ed two women at one time. It's the little things you don't pay attention to," Banks revealed. "I had the CD in an actual [DJ] Whoo Kid mixtape cover. It was just a blank CD with just tracks. I got over 70, 80 tracks, so you can't get them all on one CD. So I might have had 14 tracks of the last two weeks or something like that."
"Next thing I know, [i] can't find the CD," Banks continued. "I'm assuming it had to be from one of those situations when you got too much going on around you. Maybe I'mma just stick to one girl from now on. That's the only explanation that makes sense. Sticky fingers."
Back in February, reports surfaced that an argument between G-Unit and Swizz Beatz may have sparked the shooting of Busta Rhymes' bodyguard, Israel Ramirez. Word is Banks was slated to shoot his portion for Bus' "Touch It" remix video, but refused to film it with Swizz nearby. So, is there beef between G-Unit and Full Surface? Banks doesn't think so.
"I don't have a feud with Swizz, I have a feud with anybody who has ever said anything negative about me or anybody standing next to me," Banks explained. "These are the principles. It shouldn't be a ****ing puzzle. When they get out there, you from the streets, so you know. If you smack my nigga in the face, next time we see you we gon hurt you. I'm definitely not ****ing with you. I'm not here to make friends."
According to Banks, the argument stems from Cassidy and 50 Cent trading words last year. While Cass told SOHH.com he has no problem with G-Unit, Banks isn't so sure.
"If you say something it doesn't go away. Niggas do shit then when it fails they catch ****ing amnesia. 'Did I say that? Yea you said that nigga... last summer. That go for all them niggas, the Jadakiss', the Fat Joe's," Banks offered. "See that's the problem. It's hip-hop, but this is the way we eat. This is music nigga, but hip-hop is from the streets. That's why real situations happen. That's why you got niggas still getting shot and killed, but you only hear about it when it happens to the rappers."
"And for these niggas [that are] supposed to be from these areas where shit goes down, I don't see why they got a hard time understanding why there's hostility here. Why I'm never gonna shake your hand. Why there's always gonna be that energy involved," Banks added. "If you don't mean it, don't say it. Mean what you say."
Lloyd Banks' Rotten Apple hits stores July 18.
sohh
I t's probably a safe bet to say Lloyd Banks has been with more women than your average 24 year old. The G-Unit soldier lives a lifestyle many people merely dream about, admit it or not. He's won Adult Video News awards, he's partied with Hugh Hefner, and he's just gotten the green light to star in his own TV show on The Playboy Channel. Meanwhile, his latest single, “My House,” a walk-through tour of Banks’ estate, is steadily gaining spins with DJs across the nation. Things are seemingly looking pretty good for G-Unit's boy wonder.
But there's a storm of uncertainty brewing beneath the surface of all this success. The last G-Unit release by Tony Yayo failed to achieve platinum status and Mobb Deep’s acclaimed opus, Blood Money, has struggled for a place in the top chart spots. For an imprint that boasted platinum-plus sales for Banks, Young Buck and the sales phenom, 50 Cent, these struggles may be an omen of less festive times. As rocket fuel, for the first time in G-Unit history, Banks recruited some high profile collaborations from outside the camp that are certain to turn a few heads. He’s also got a diss record aimed at D-Block and Terror Squad that could shake things cataclysmicly across the five boroughs and beyond. – if he lets it loose. Selling records is serious business, and ain't a damn thing funny, even for a G-Unit playboy.
AllHipHop.com: G-Unit always collaborates heavily with G-Unit. On your next album, were there any collaborations outside of the camp that you took part in?
Lloyd Banks: Actually, the album is not stamped yet - ain’t no doors closed to features that could actually happen for crunch time. But, as we speak now, I got Scarface on the album; I got 8Ball on the album; I got Rakim on the album. I got a few. That’s a lot for somebody who doesn’t do a lot of features, you know what I’m sayin’? I got a couple more; I just don’t wanna pull names out the hat. I’d rather wait until it’s on paper.
AllHipHop.com: A couple months ago, some of your tracks got leaked, including a song you had with Scott Storch, and they were put on the Internet. Now, some think that leaks help careers, others think that it hurts them. How do you think it affected your career?
Lloyd Banks: I don’t think it affected me because I never stop recording. Even in preparation for this album here, I’m over the limit. There’s gonna be 16 records for this album, and I have over 60 records in preparation for it. I think all things happen for a reason, at the same time. If the records were leaked out, then, maybe it was supposed to be. If it didn’t get leaked out, who knows? Maybe some of them would be on the [record]. It also keeps you up at the same time. You gotta have two albums, in preparation. You might not be able to clear samples. When I had the original “I’m So Fly,” Nottz produced it. I couldn’t clear the sample. I had to take the acapella and send it to Timbaland, and he came back with the [official] “I’m So Fly” beat. It’s always good to have backup records.
AllHipHop.com: There was a rumor that a groupie leaked it, and there was a rumor that a girlfriend leaked it. Which one of them was true?
Lloyd Banks: I don’t got a girlfriend, so, if anything gets stolen, it’s some b*tch that wasn’t supposed to be… ya nahmean? That comes from actually doing too much, man. You got one lady over here and you got one lady over there. I don’t wanna seem like a dog, but those were just situations I was in. It would be me and three b*tches in the bed at one time, and, you might have too much to smoke, ya nahmean, and, wake up and your s**t would be missing. S**t like that is [no different] from [losing] a chain or watch. Mistakes happen, and you gotta move on from your mistakes.
AllHipHop.com: So, what’s up with this Bleu Hefner persona you got? I know the Hefner part, where does the Bleu come from?
Lloyd Banks: You know what it is? I changed my diamonds. I actually had a whole set of green diamonds, and, one by one, I started seeing dudes with green stones in they chains, and I started getting mad. I took it offensively because I know I started [the trend]; I know when I did it at. I was like, you know what, I’m gonna change my color man. I turned it to blue, it’s one of my favorite colors. I couldn’t be Hugh Hefner, there’s already one of those dudes, so, I [became] Bleu Hefner. I actually am working on a Playboy deal right now, so, it’s all gonna make sense. It started off as something I was playing with. I got a million aka’s: Iceon Beckford, Ni**a Rachi, New Diamonds…[Bleu Hefner] just stuck because I was having meetings with the Playboy people at the same time.
I already did the “Groupie Love” thing, and, after I won the [2005 AVN Award for Best Music], I spoke to Hugh Hefner, and he was just congratulating me and telling me what I have achieved, if I didn’t know what it was, and how much impact I have on that market. We’re in talks right now and it’s gonna all make sense. He’s Hugh Hefner, and I’ll be the New Hefner. It’s a dope market and it’s not like I’m pushing it all the time.
AllHipHop.com: But, is it porn that you’re pushing?
Lloyd Banks: No. The Playboy thing is not porn. Even their porn is like, soft porn. It will be more like a TV series. I would be me. They’d just follow me on the road, you know what I’m saying? I do so many shows and you meet so many women. What it is, is, now I’m having a talent search while I’m on tour. I felt like, I’m meeting all these girls, and then at the end of the day, they gotta be worth something more than me just going to bed with them. A lot of them be looking for lanes to get into modeling or videos and things of that sort. I’m also looking for actual talent as far as music goes. So, it’s like a big talent search. At the same time, it’ll be like, a week’s worth of shows following me throughout the road and seeing real situations that go on. I might put out a calendar, or, I might just have 12 different models picked out of hundreds or thousands of girls. It’s something that will make [touring] more interesting. I’ll have a reason to be around all those women, you know, more than one reason. I can get money off [them] too.
AllHipHop.com: With the exception of Game, you are the only G-Unit artist outside of 50 to go multiplatinum. I mean, Yayo hasn’t done it and Mobb Deep, I just found out, did a worse first week [in sales] than their last album which wasn’t on G-Unit…they haven’t reached your sales record yet. How do you explain that, if you all have the same base?
Lloyd Banks: It’s a time and place for everything. If you look at the music, it all swung to the South real fast, you know what I’m saying, and it starts off like a tornado. It starts off somewhere then it ends off somewhere. The Mobb Deep album is a great album. All projects don’t work the same. The same way my career started off multiplatinum, some of the best artists we look up to today started off with Gold albums.
AllHipHop.com: You’re a New Yorker. Is that tornado something you’re gonna have to reverse right now? Because we have a Southern trend…
Lloyd Banks: I think you gotta just stay relevant. You gotta think: when 50 came out, there was a lotta other artists too. You have to just represent where you come from. That’s why the name of my album is Rotten Apple. New York City: When you see me, you see the Statue of Liberty chain, you see the G-Unit City chain. I been doing that. That’s not just now, that was when my album came out [that] I got that piece made. It’s just a coincidence that, I had all those pieces done up. They’re really looking for somebody to bring New York…you know what I’m saying…[to] have that energy.
AllHipHop.com: So, Mobb Deep didn’t do that then?
Lloyd Banks: I mean, I felt like they did. I felt like the energy was crazy. I got Mobb Deep on two records on my album. That shows you right there. Actually, they’re on the first record on my album. The pressure’s on me. I’m not in competition with anybody, for what I do. You’re all artists. You’re all good in certain ways. I just feel like, for what I do, and my lyrical talents, I don’t think there’s anybody, anybody that’s out there that can deal with me on any level. So, that’s what I’m a do. I’m a make you listen to mixtape verses on the radio.
AllHipHop.com: There’s a rumor that 50’s holding you back because you’re nicer than him. Can you address that please?
Banks On 50 Cent Holding Him Back
Lloyd Banks: No, my album comes out July 18th [laughs]. You know what? It’s crazy, but I love those people. I love all fans, man. You know what it is? At first, it was 50 Cent fans. But then, the 50 Cent fans would filter in to me and Tony Yayo. Then, Buck came along…there’s Buck fans that probably say the same thing about me! But, at the end of the day, believe me, when 50 hears somebody say that, it makes him smile because he created me. He gave me that lane. He’s the one that told me, “No, we’re gonna put you out as a solo artist.” I was just comfortable being in the group, cause that’s how we grew up together. I thought me and Yayo was gonna be a group at one point. [50 set us straight]. We haven’t even sat down and made a record to date. To this day, I have yet to sit down and write a record with the whole crew, since a freestyle. All the records [we make are like] “Yo, that’s the beat, aight, I got a verse.” And it comes together. I wouldn’t say I’m cheating myself, but, in a way, we are. We ain’t actually worked like that. I got my studio in my crib, 50 got a studio in his house, Buck got one in his crib.
AllHipHop.com: So you never really collaborate like a group, you just send verses in to each other, like that?
Lloyd Banks: Yeah. When you’re around each other so much man, you’re always in the same vain. You develop the same ear almost, so I might [use] the same beat 50 might pick, or vice-versa. It’s not that hard for us to work, man. Believe it or not, [collaborating in person] hasn’t been done, but, it will happen in the future.
AllHipHop.com: Did Game click well with you also under that formula?
Lloyd Banks: I never clicked with dude. I think he was intimidated of me just based on my lyrical abilities. It’s one thing to say a whole verse—that’s cool—and it’s another thing for n***as to be like, “Hold up, bring that s**t back. What the f**k did he just say?” I think he was really infatuated with that [quality I have].
AllHipHop.com: I’m gonna play devil’s advocate and say that the songs you made with him were good—and it sounded like you clicked. Some would say you’re only saying this after the fact, now that he’s gone.
Lloyd Banks: He was never really crew. I think he had too many insecurities within himself. He wanted to be too many different things at one time and, the respect wasn’t there, and I never clicked with him. Sometimes, I wish I would have went upside his head while he was there but, I tried to keep it crew, and embrace everybody. It was a bad situation. If you look at it now, it’s evident. Just look at the tattoo situation. You put a tattoo on your face and then cover it up? If I put that [butterfly] tattoo on my f**kin’ face, period, [even] without covering it up, my credibility is squashed. It’s like certain things you can’t do, and that’s one of them. My mother would look at that s**t and be like, “What the f**k?”
AllHipHop.com: His album is dropping around the same time as yours. What do you think about that?
Lloyd Banks: Oh, that’ll be exciting. You think that? [laughs] You think his album is gonna come out the same time as mine?
AllHipHop.com: It might.
Lloyd Banks: That’s cool. [laughs]. I tip my hat.
AllHipHop.com: You got a song on the next album, and from what I hear, it’s called “Death Wish.” Is that true? Is it going at The Lox, Terror Squad and Fat Joe?
Lloyd Banks: It was tied in to the preparation for the album, but it’s not stamped in yet. [Disses aimed at me] are like a catch-22 because the fans wanna hear your response, but at the same time, I juggle with whether I wanna put it out nationally or on a mixtape. On a mixtape, I can get on there and say what I want to say. [But] once you do it on an album, that’s going out worldwide, then you giving them worldwide notoriety. All those are options, depending on what they’re trying to do. N***as hear I’m coming back out, they salty ‘cause they’re broke and don’t got no album coming out [and] they might wanna say something. If they say something, then I’ma drop the A-Bomb on them n***as. They haven’t heard me do it yet. They haven’t heard me go in. I will end n***a’s careers.
AllHipHop.com: Is that the song, “Death Wish”? You think that’s the one?
Lloyd Banks: Only one word can turn into a diss record. I don’t write no song about nothing, about no n***a. It’ll just be one line and it’ll be enough to knock you out. Listen. You’re gonna know. You’re gonna hear about it. I ain’t heard s**t now, since they know I’m back on the market. I was falling back, trying to get my s**t straight. Let a n***a say my name right now, at this point. Tomorrow, day after, and I’m gonna publicly humiliate you. That’s it.

In looking into all the rumors and speculation, and with the recent ‘leak’ of some of rap artist Lil Eazy E’s material onto internet hip-hop and rap sites, ThugLifeArmy.com has been told that ‘The Prince of Compton’, son of west coast hip-hop and gangsta rap legend Eric ‘Eazy E’ Wright; Lil Eazy E is signing with rap artist 50 Cents hip-hop click G-Unit.
This has been rumored for sometime. In a phone conversation, about the music of Lil Eazy E’s that is finding its way to the internet, an unnamed source told ThugLifeArmy.com that some of the tracks finding their way to the internet are off the album that was to drop; like ‘Letter to My Home Boys’ produced by Johnny “J” (famous for his work with Tupac (2Pac) and others). Some of the tracks are older tracks and some where put out for publicity earlier on (Like ‘Gangsta Sh*t’), but there will be an entire new album coming.
We contacted our Virgin Records representative who confirmed that “this is pretty much true”. When asked where that leaves Virgin Records we were told “the leave's Virgin exactly where they were before they signed him. Keeping it moving and wishing him well.”
Other recent hip-hop and rap G-Unit signers include Spider Loc, Mobb Deep, Hot Rod, Olivia and M.O.P..
We will have to wait to see if all the i’s are dotted and the t’s are crossed, but for now it looks like the west coast rap artist who is known as the Prince of Compton will be the newest G-Unit soldier very soon. It seems to be a done deal so that should end the rumors and speculation.

Trae ft. Paul Wall, Ya Boy - They Say
http://www.westcoastrydaz.com/media/audio/trae-they_say_ft_paul_wall_ya_boy_(westcoastrydaz).mp3
Ya Boy hit the Sirius airwaves and appeared on DJ Skee's Westside Hype Radio last January to announce that he was aligned with Black Wallstreet, and since then he's been grinding continuously. In our August interview with Ya Boy, he stated that he was set to "put the bay on TV," more specifically bring the region into the mainstream scope, and it looks like young Ya Boy is holding true to that statement.
With appearances in the US Weekly, Star Magazine, being mentioned and quoted on Late Night With Conan O'Brien, and an upcoming XXL Magazine spread, the 21 year old 16's specialist has accomplished in the rap game what most have only dreamt of. Since aligning himself with The Game, he has also launched his own label, Precise Music Group. With a million dollar budget to jump start it alongside CEO, Phat Rat, Ya Boy has been rubbing shoulders with some of the game's top producers. What do Jonathan "JR" Rotem and Scott Storch have in common? Yes, they share the trait of being platinum producers but they have also recently produced for Ya Boy. The Aftermath mogul Dr. Dre can also be quoted as saying "Ya' Boy marks the beginning of the next episode of West Coast fury." The follow up to his debut album is on the way and is titled "Holla At Ya Boy" and he's using the finest facilities to lay down those vicious vocals. YB has been recording new material at the 14-Grammy Award winning David Foster's studio. In the meantime Ya Boy will be dropping a new mixtape hosted by DJ Skee within the next 2 months.
To top it all off, Ya Boy has grown from a Rookie to a teacher and has been lending his pen to Pop star Britney Spears' husband, Kevin Federline aka K-Fed. Although Ya Boy has come under some criticism for the move, he continues to move forward with his own career. Ya Boy had this to say to the critics and haters:
"I'm making stupid money ****in' with K-Fed, that's my nigga. I'm still the same hood spitta, still Black Wall protege of The Game, and I'm still San Quinn's lil cousin! So all the haters, I advise you to get ya motha****in money up like me."
For the latest exclusive info and music on Ya Boy you can hit up the newly opened website YaBoyMusic.com and can join up to his official forum where himself and Phat Rat post on the regular.
a) ich höre schon etwas länger Ya boy.

Ansehen und posten was euch an Spider Joke aufällt

Power of the Dollar ist meega.
As the World Turns ...
Slow Doe ...
How To Rob An Industry Nigga ...
für mich (!!!) richtige Klassiker.
aber "Get Rich Or Die Tryin'" ist fuer mich so ziemlich das Beste Album
was ich je gehört habe.
bei "get rich or die tryin'" passt einfach ALLES.
"mainstream" hin oder her.
ich feier deren shice übelst.

The West Coast is at a crossroads these days. While we still have our legends that are working hard and putting out music, we also have a new wave of upcoming talented stars that are ready to begin taking their rightful spots on the music scene. One of these legends Kurupt a.k.a. Young Gotti of The Dogg Pound has been steadily grooming the next generation of West Coast based hip hop stars, teaching them the ropes of the game and preparing them for the spotlight. That group of young artists are known as Y.A. which includes Kurupts younger brother Roscoe, Tri-Star (who site fans should be familiar with by now), Bizzle, LT a.k.a. Lil Tri along with a few others. We caught up with Kurupt and Y.A. out in Orange County, CA as they spent the day shooting videos for some of their group projects. In this video feature we discuss the New upcoming Dogg Pound album Cali Iz Active, 50 Cent's involvement with DPG, Roscoe's New "I Love Cali" album dropping this May, the upcoming group album by Y.A., The Armory Project and much more.

CashvilleRecords.net EXCLUSIVE: The build up to one of Sydney’s most widely anticipated concerts was huge; after all it was one of the few times a big hip-hop star performed on stage in Sydney. Last time G-Unit came out the crowds left with nothing but great memories. Thousands of people began to arrive to Sydney’s Super Dome, ready and waiting for Lil John and the BME clicks to begin. After approximately fifteen minutes a video started on screen with ‘video game’ type effects featuring shootouts with gunman drinking ‘Crunk Juice’. This very much set the ‘gangster’ mood for the mass of Sydneysiders and when Lil John came on stage the roar was deafening. His presence alone left the entire crowd star struck, and for the entire gig there was nothing but total appreciation for what the king of Crunk and his boys were providing. However it is important to point out that of the entire group from the BME clicks, Lil Scrappy was the only one wearing G-Unit clothing. This was seen by all as confirmation that he has a future at the label. As Lil John and his boys left the stage, phones were going off like crazy, messages were being thrown around the Super Dome with a “how good was that” type vibe and over 30000 people thought it couldn’t get much better then that. They were wrong.
Twenty minutes later, 50cent and G-Unit appeared on stage and the thrill of being in their presence was indescribable. It was clear just how much respect and praise was directed towards the G-Unit general and his colleagues. Song after song, comment after comment; it became clear that this tour had the intention to educate the ‘hip hop deprived’ crowd on the beef between 50 cent and The Game.
“Y’all know the Game right?”, was the cry as 50 cent began to bust out the lyrics of the most recognized hook in Australia
“This is how we do….”
As an eruption of cheering poured out from the crowd, 50 cent paused. It was then evident that he was out to change the public’s perspective.
“I sat down and did him a favor by writing all of his songs, and what does he do for me in return?” As he raised his middle finger it became clear what reaction 50 cent wanted from his fans, who happily obliged in responding with a chorus or boos. On that note the king continued, having the entire audience immersed in everything that was occurring on stage.
About half an hour into the performance, Lil Scrappy entered the stage but appeared to add nothing to the party except for the occasional cry of “G-Unit!” Now although about 80% of the Sydney audience was probably ignorant of the fact of who Lil Scrappy was, by the end of the night 50 cent had given his audience the impression that we would be seeing more of Lil Scrappy in the future.
After over two hours of non stop action, the concert came to a close, featuring a final appearance from the ‘hip-hop teachers" Banks, Scrappy and Buck, yelling out "G-Unit" and ordering the crowed to scream "F^^# Game!" as a response. This sequence happened at least twenty times before they eventually left the stage with the entire Super Dome praising the hip-hop Gods.
As we left the arena we walked out eager to buy some G-Unit clothing or merchandise from the stores (as it is rare to find G-Unit clothing in Sydney). However to our disappointment the only merchandise available was branded by 50 cent. There was not a sign of a G-Unit tag, let alone anything from Buck or Banks. It was almost as if the other four members who played a big part in the performance on stage didn’t exist. So after waiting an hour in line to buy some G-Unit merchandise, we walked away dissatisfied and empty handed.
That night, the city of Sydney packed the Super Dome with a desire to party with the group of guys they know best only for the music they hear on the radio. Those same people left much later in the evening, not only with an awesome concert experience, but also with a higher understanding of the G-Unit record label and what they are about. They left with total admiration for who and what they had seen.

Dollar Gewinn.

At the time, Game was a member of 50 Cent’s G-Unit crew with rappers Lloyd Banks and Young Buck, but as the world knows, things have since changed. Following a long and nasty feud with 50 Cent, Game has finally severed business ties with the G-Unit label and now has his own Black Wall Street record label directly under parent company Interscope, which will release his new album “The Doctor’s Advocate” this summer.
“For the last 8 to 9 months I’ve been fighting for my independence on Interscope and I finally got it,” Game says. “So there’s no more 50 and we’re not in each other’s way. I don’t wish any harm on him or have anything bad to say about him at this point because I pretty much exhausted the possibility of doing that whole back and forth thing with him.”
Game says his issues with 50 began with the release of “The Documentary,” when his name started to bubble throughout the industry and multiple opportunities came knocking.
“At the end of the day, I just gotta be respected as a business man,” Game says. “Where me and 50 bumped heads was that he didn’t want anybody else to co-exist when he was on top. He wanted to be on top alone. He didn’t wanna give me the same opportunities that Eminem and Dre had given him.”
“All my life, I’ve been a leader and not a follower,” he continues. “I’ve had people behind me following me, doing whatever I do. I wasn’t Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, I wasn’t a G-Unit soldier, so I left the group and started my own label. I already had my own label, but it’s blown now, and we full-fledged, and we working and we’re gearing up for this album.”

Die neue Single "Hands Up" feat.
Mal wieder was neues von Eve. Checkt den Track "Cashflow" feat. T.I..
Derzeit tourt Bus A Bus schon in Europa. Single wird "New York Shit".
& Shade Sheist) den Track "Pull up - Get out" aufgenommen.
(mo)

Concert was thank-you to fans who volunteered for community service.
The Game at the Boost Mobile RockCorps concert on Friday in Atlanta

ATLANTA — Approximately 3,000 young people were rewarded for giving back to the community on Friday, as Boost Mobile held its second annual RockCorps concert at this city's Fox Theatre.
Young Jeezy, Slim Thug, Big Boi, Paul Wall, the Game, Lil Wayne and Keyshia Cole were among those getting onstage to perform. The only way to get a ticket for the show was to sign up through Boost Mobile for four hours of community service, this time cleaning up various locations around the city.
"I just came out; I ain't even performing," Lil Jon said minutes after his surprise crowd-hyping appearance. DJ Drama introduced the King of Crunk to the tune of Jon's own "Snap Yo Fingers." Jon brought out the Atlanta-based dance troop the Flow Masters, who appear in the song's video. For a few minutes, the whole Fox Theatre seemed to be doing the Pool Palace dance.
"Snap your fingers, do your step," Jon rapped as the crowd joined in en masse.
"I'm just here showing love to the kids in the community that gave their time and effort to clean the community up," Jon added backstage. "That's big. It make me feel real good because the kids are sometimes looked at like they get into a lot of trouble or they're not doing what they supposed to do. But they're out here giving time in the summer, cleaning up their community, just for a ticket to the concert. That's why all the artists came out here, saying thanks for giving a damn."
"Kids are important, period," Lil Wayne agreed backstage. "They are our future. I'm young myself — I'm 23 so I know how important the future is. When I see anybody younger than me doing something positive or accomplishing any goal, I'm with it."
Wayne and his Atlanta friend, Young Jeezy, definitely caused the most ruckus with their respective sets, which were filled with street hits and radio smashes.
The Game also caused quite a stir with his G-Unit-slamming verses in "How We Do" — the lyrics can't be repeated here, but he's recently added Mobb Deep and Mase to the list. The crowd sang along.
On a more humble note, the Game took time out during his set to pay respect to some of hip-hop's finest, including T.I. manager Philant Johnson and the late Tupac Shakur: Friday marked what would have been the rapper's 35th birthday, and his mom, Afeni Shakur, came onstage briefly to thank the crowd and share a few words about her son.
Big Boi and his Purple Ribbon All-Stars closed the night. Big and company performed several new concrete bangers like "Kryptonite," and he even dug deep into his stash of Outkast hits as well as the duo's new "Mighty O." Big had to do those records by himself, though — Andre 3000 was nowhere in sight.
After the show, Big said doing the records without his longtime partner is not a problem, and added that fans should expect more of the same when he and the Purple Ribbon crew go on tour this summer.
"I'm going," Big said of the tour. "I don't care who calls me. We been doing it strong [without Andre] since the last LP. If my man ever wanna, you know, get back out here, he's welcome — we got a mic for him. But until he do that, we gone. Ain't nothing gonna stop this here.
"Ain't no beef or nothing," he clarified, "but ain't nothing stopping this here."
Last year, artists such as Fat Joe, Remy Martin, D-Block and Fabolous performed at New York's Radio City Music Hall at the first RockCorps concert. The foundation has another New York show lined up for September, although no lineup has been announced yet. There are also two RockCorps mini-tours planned for the summer, one featuring Ghostface Killah and Rick Ross, the other with rockers Hawthorne Heights.
"It's hard to do Radio City Music Hall, but down in Atlanta, there's such a sense of community," RockCorps CEO Stephen Greene said. "To see all the artists come in and grace the stage — that energy, that community feel, is definitely next level from what we had in New York. The proof is in the pudding tonight."

On Shade 45 someone called and asked why Dre isn't doing any production work on LLoyd Banks's Rotten Apple album, Whoo Kid said Dre is to busy working on his Detox album after just finishing up exectutive producing Busta Rhymes's album and is going to be working a lot more closely with Bishop Lamont, Gage, Eve and is trying to get Raekwon on Aftermath. No mention of Game. Whoo Kid said Dre will be working with any G-Unit artists on their projects including 50 Cent. Whoo Kid joked that he thought Young Buck would get a free beat from Dre after Buck and the rest of the G-Unit crew had Dre's back at the vibe awards. He said though G-Unit has some great producers who have already done tracks or will be working with the G-Unit camp... Havoc, Hi-Tek, Sha Money, Alchemist, Eminem, etc and 50 is starting to produce track on his own as well. Also said look for more G-Unit cats to work with Timbaland after Timbo and Banks put together a banger. Said LLoyd Banks's album is fire and personally feels it is the best G-Unit album since Get Rich. Said the album got pushed back more so because 50 has been overseas for the last few months and has not been able to help promote it but that 50 gets back this week and they will start getting a buzz out for Rotten Apple. Young Buck got next, album will have crazy production and a rumored track with Buck, T.I., Jeezy and B.G.
50 coming just in time for Christmas, as usual 50 will not have many guest apperances on the album but added look for Eminem, Ludacris and the G-Unit camp on it. M.O.P is patiently waiting, said they just enjoy being caked up right now but they are in the studio everyday and that they will drop a G-Unit album. Said it will be hard for Ma$e to drop an album on G-Unit because of his contract with Puffy, said Puff has given 50 his blessings to do some kind of joint venture but that numbers aren't right. He said Ma$e just may stick to doing mixtapes with him.
Rumors of Spider Loc being kicked out are completly false he said, Loc is like fam. Said Hot Rod is going to be a star, 50 is really excited about his potential and is going to promote him hard once Banks's album drops. Said 50 is probably not going to sign anymore artists for a while to concentrate on what he has on his label now. He did say 50 would love to have Ras Kass on board and that probably be the only person he would sign at this point. No truth about Lil Eazy joining G-Unit at all. Added Buck is ready to get G-Unit south on and poppin, he was dissapointed he couldn't get his good friend B.G. on G-Unit south but they are still cool. Said Buck has a lot of young artists from Tennessee but wants to add at least one or two established acts. Said 3 6 Mafia is having label trouble and they have a good relationship with Buck and 50 Cent so you never know, also Lil Scrappy is doing a joint venture with G-Unit. Also throw out the names of C-Murder, Pastor Troy and The YoungBloodz as possible G-Unit south candidates. Sha Money XL is showing him the ropes as a label exec.

Lloyd Banks has been promoting his next album so much he doesn't even have time to go to his home town, New York. I call my mom long distance. I don't have any kids or a wife, so I don't have to fly back to New York every chance I get. I'm a rolling stone. I get a rush being onstage. My goal is to clock over 150 shows this year."
During his Hunger for More tour, Banks did 150 shows over the course of a year and a half.
"I developed that hunger to be onstage and take over the stage," he said.
Banks has been performing three new songs on tour — and his album isn't even out yet. He just leaked a new record, "Hands Up," which will be Rotten Apple's first single. Before that, he dropped two records around the same time: "Cake" and "My House."
" 'My House' is a Timbaland-produced track," he said. "I'm getting ready to work with Timbaland again during crunch time before the album comes out. He just makes new music, it sounds like no other music out there. That's what I'm trying to keep. I want to keep my sound new. I don't want people to know who did the beat as soon as they hear the first five seconds of . 'My House,' it's kinda like Run did it. 'Who's houuuse? Run's houuuse!' It means whatever it applies to. If I'm at a concert, this is my house. If I'm playing ball, this is my house. Whatever I do, I'm in control. It's a good performance record."
Before deciding on "Hands Up," "My House" was originally intended to be Banks' official leadoff single, because he felt it would be radio-friendly. "Cake" is more of an underground type of song.
" 'Cake' is uncut raw," he added. "If you hear it on radio, you might hear more than a few words bleeped out.
"I don't usually use the heavily sampled record where the hook is already there," he continued about "Cake," "but the hook just kinda grabbed me the way 'Warrior' did. I think I was overseas when I did . I wrote it in 20 minutes, then I snatched 50 up for it."
50 appears on "My House" and "Hands Up" as well. As you'd guess, the rest of the G-Unit family is on Banks' LP as well, but Boy Wonder did look beyond his camp for more guest spots.
"Outside the crew, I got Scarface on the album, 8Ball, Rakim," he revealed. "I'm going in on this project. I'm going to show them my lyrical capability. It doesn't hurt to have those legends stand beside me. I been listening to Rakim since I was a baby, as well as Scarface and 8ball. I was in junior high school, elementary school listening to these artists.
" is not officially closed out yet," he continued. "I got some big things in the making right now. On the production side, I have Eminem again. He produced a track. Timbaland Havoc did 'Rotten Apple,' which is the opening track. I got a couple from Ron Browse. I got a 'Playboy' part two. The rest of the producers, I really don't know the names, that's how new are. ... I'm pretty sure their names will be out after this album comes out."
Banks says he cheated a little bit while recording the LP over the past two years. Since he was laying off the mixtape circuit, a lot of the rhymes he would have used solely for the streets make up Rotten Apple.
"I was taking all the material that would have been on the mixtapes, and I was using it for my actual album," he explained. "Nowadays, it's hard to mix the two. If you listen to radio, a lot of it is R&B. So I wanted to still have the hit records, the commercial records, but at the same time, I was focusing on putting those mixtape verses on the songs that would be appearing on radio. Just to add a different feel to it. A lot of the grimy street material actually went onto my album. My album is really street-based."
Banks, who just released the street CD Mo' Money in the Bank Pt. 4 a few weeks ago, says he took a self-imposed break from mixtapes because he was starting to hear that the G-Unit were saturating the market. As it turns out, during his mixtape hiatus, he kept hearing people saying he should come back out on the circuit, especially when G-Unit were beefing with the Game, D-Block and Fat Joe. They wanted to hear his battle raps.
Now that Banks is coming out with an official LP, he says he's heard whispers about a G-Unit backlash, especially in the wake of Mobb Deep's highly hyped album not delivering the vastly improved SoundScan numbers they predicted signing to G-Unit Records would bring.
"Nah," Banks said about whether the backlash is real. "It happens with all the artists. It happened with Jay-Z, LL Cool J. They love you then hate you and love you again. With that pressure, it's fun. It's not like the competition is putting pressure . The competition is yourself. People want you to outdo yourself. That's the biggest challenge: Outdo what I did with a bigger impact. Hey, this is what I get paid for. If it is a backlash, I haven't felt it. If the people feel that way, it's my job to turn their opinions around."

50 Cent's long time friend is helping Olivia. Just the other day, a sampler of music from Missy Elliott was leaked to the internet. The sampler featured Missy Elliott on a track with G-Unit's Olivia. The track is called "Not Alone" and will be featured on her G-Unit Records debut, which will be released this fall.
Look for G-Unit's own Lloyd Banks to release his second solo album in August but since the first single "My House" didn't blow up like expected, the album is likely to be pushed back. The push shouldn't be that much and it will most likely be released in late August. (some are even saying September). His first single "Hands Up" featuring 50 Cent will be sent to radios later this month along with a video for TV that will be filmed in the upcoming weeks at the Playboy Mansion.
Look for Hot Rod's new single featuring Mary J. Blige to be released sometime very soon. He expects it to leak this upcoming week. I can't remember the name of the track right now...

Freitag, 23.06.2006

True Dre fans have already heard all of these songs for years, but if you dont have them in your iPod, now is your chance. The Album/Mixtape has leaked and is circulating around the internet now.

A 23-year-old man who accused rapper Eminem of stealing his lyrics has been arrested on three misdemeanor charges.
Somerset Borough police charged Shawn Steven Baker Thursday (May 25) with harassment, making terrorist threats and disorderly conduct after he left 12 threatening messages over the past three months with the Somerset County district attorney's office and county detectives.
The aspiring rapper, who resides in Meyersdale, left the messages in response to authorities' slow response to a private criminal complaint he filed with the DA in February against Eminem.
In the complaint, Baker claims Eminem stole rhymes with lyrics for two songs, "Rain Man," and "Just Lose It."
The Tribune-Democrat reports that Baker's complaint was dismissed by the DA's office, who later received what police referred to as threatening phone messages with foul language, as well as a packet of information on civil rights and copyright violations.
Among the victims listed on an affidavit of probable cause were district attorney Jerry Spangler, secretary Kim Darr and Detectives Jason Hunter and Scott Fogleson.
The affidavit also stated that Baker ignored warnings from the DA's office to stop the calls.
Charges were brought after authorities reviewed phone records and victims' statements.
Baker has since been arraigned and sent to Somerset County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond.

Game has been in and out the compton hood the past couple of months, he had to go back in search of the BWS chain that got snatched and got it that same night, some people called lost souls took it.... While in the hood saw his brother Big Fase for the first time after nine months, Fase ran up to talk to Game about the shit that went down between them, but Game just wasn't hearing that. Game told him they should just shake hands, hug and go eat or some shit like that.
For more on this peep Big Fase Game's Brothers Forum, Big Fase also made a post about this there too
