Nach dem Signing bei Aftermath, veröffentlicht Joell Ortiz vor seinem Major Release noch sein Street Album "The Brick (Bodega Chronicles)" am 24. April über Koch Records.
Das Album, welches von The Alchemist, Showbiz (DITC), Fame von M.O.P. und Moss produziert wurde, featured u.a. Tracks von Immortal Technique, MOP, Ras Kass, Noyd, Graph und Stimuli. Die erste Single wird "Hip Hop" sein, welche wir euch hier bald vorstellen werden.

also das glaube ich erst wenn ich es höre. wenn das stimmt, dann wird das aufjedefall ein beatmonster werden das album. ein krasseres lineup fürn debutalbum kann man wohl kaum haben.

Ich finde "Get Buck" und "Haters" grottenschlecht, alleine der Beat von "Haters" ist ätzend. "4 Kings", "I Know You Want Me" und "Do It Myself" sind bombe, das Cover finde ich auch gut, aber ich hätte den Albumtitel bei "Buck The World" gelassen, ist lässiger. Naja, ich freu mich dennoch drauf :cool:

Swizz says the feel of the beats will inspire Em to bring back the old Slim Shady. He shared some other news as well: "I just did a song on [A 2Pac Tribute: Dare 2 Struggle, a various-artists collection commemorating the 10th anniversary of his death]. Oh my God. Sehe ich auch so, Eminems eigene Beats sind nicht so mein Fall, und das Rappen über ernste Themen sollten andere machen,......Der Slim Shady style passt einfach am besten zu ihm

50 was on Hot97 today, during the Angie Martinez show. Lot of shit popped off, Angie asked him some good questions about the Unit, and their recent low album sales, Styles P called in and beleive it or not but he had a good conversation with 50. Even Camron called in with the general manager of Koch, and Cam was wildin out, cursin up a storm and was going at 50. Really good interview.

Ausserdem: Es ist doch besser, wenn man irgendwann eine Bombe bekommt als jetzt ein Scheissalbum, nach dem nach vier Monaten keiner mehr kräht!
Mannn... Zu viele scheiss Alben kommen raus. Da sollten die Rapper sich mal Zeit nehmen, um gute Texte zu schreiben, gute Beats zu suchen und nicht so einen Fliessband**** abliefern.

Buck also steps outside of his genre with collaborations from Kymani Marley and Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington.
"I got a record with Chester Bennington titled "Slow Your Roll." It will probably be my third single. It's probably the realest record I ever wrote in my life, every word, every rhyme, every lyric when you hear it it's true and I guarantee you will lose your breath," Buck told SOHH.
Among the album's 19 tracks is a song titled "Clean Up Man," a nickname given to Buck by Dre, 50 and Jimmy Iovine in recognition of his ability to connect with his audience.
"I really put it in on this record. You have to be real good to make 50 Cent and Jimmy Iovine call you the 'Clean Up Man.' I know I did the damn thing, because I never really prepared myself as much as I did for the record, not behind no special reason, but behind me wanting success period. Not because of Game, Joe or none of that shit, I've been waiting a long time to be in the position I'm in," Buck said.
Buck's newfound position comes with some "real" TV time, via his upcoming MTV series.
"It's based on my life behind the music. I'm showing you what's going on in my life -- a lot of rappers rap lives of other artists and lives of they homeboys. My reality show is narrated through my records. You'll see these characters come to life that I'm speaking on, whether it's my Auntie that's in the penitentiary dying of AIDS or whatever it might be. It will be 16 episodes, we don't have a set air date yet, but you can look forward to it sometime around Summer," Buck revealed.
Asked about 50's current multimedia tug-o-war with Cam'Ron, Buck made it clear he plans to stay out of the drama.
"I ain't ****ing with that shit. That shit is crazy. It is what it is. I think 50 can handle it on his own, and at the end of the day Jim Jones done called me and let me know how he look at shit and I let him know how I look at it," Buck told SOHH.
The Cashville rapper added that he won't be airing any rap beef on Buck the World.
"You won't hear none of that diss shit on this album, none towards Game, or Jadakiss, or Fat Joe," Buck declared. "There is enough put out from my end and they end that the fans don't even want to hear that shit. There is already enough for the streets to decide who's real, who's fake, what's real and what's fake."

Tony Yayo has a laundry list of rappers he feels are "phony." And unlike his G-Unit partner Young Buck, Yayo says he's jumping headfirst into the 50 Cent/ Cam'ron beef.
"I don't believe Cam'ron, I don't believe Jim Jones, I don't believe Lil Wayne, I don't believe Baby, I don't believe Game and I don't believe Fat Joe," he said via phone on Friday while shopping with 50 Cent's son, Marquis, in Bel Air, California.
"I feel like Cam'ron is a peon," he continued. "Let's ask the general public: When is the last time Cam'ron made a f---ing hit? It's time for these n---as to pay the piper."
Expect Yayo to give his take on the Diplomats in song on his new mixtape Finally Off Paper, the title to which is an homage to his probation being over. He calls the mixtape a "F-you to all my parole officers who got on my nerves."
As it so happens, G-Unit and the Diplomats performed at the same concert late last year in Long Island, New York. Yayo confirms that he did mock Jones when they passed each other in the hallway. He yelled "borrrin'," making fun of Jones' now-patented "balllin' " ad lib.
"I mean, I wouldn't say it started," he said, describing the animosity between the two camps. "I did say 'borrrin',' I'm not gonna lie. Rap is a competitive sport and I play around with it. Sometimes dudes catch feelings, sometimes they don't. Me, I don't understand these dudes. These dudes reach out on the phone and try to call people. After that incident, Jim, he reached out to Buck. This is what Buck tells me: Jim Jones reaches out to Buck and was trying to tell Buck to get me on the phone. I don't do the phone thing. I don't need none of these rap n---as to be my friends. My best friend sells the most records and makes the most money ... I've seen checks for $5.5 million that 50 is generating monthly just from [his partnership with] Vitamin Water.
"250,000," he continued, referring to the number of copies Jones' Hustler's P.O.M.E. (Product of My Environment) has sold so far. "That is not a successful album under our roster. Jim was trying to reach out to me, reach out through other people from the street, but I never accepted his call. He gets on radio and says, 'Yayo, you's a immigrant. So you disrespecting every Haitian on the planet.' [Note: Jones' quote is from a Web site, not a radio station]. So he played himself like that. I'm like, 'These dudes is fools.' Jim Jones cannot f--- with me creatively. You can't be serious. Cam'ron, none of them can f--- with me creatively, and I got more money than them. I can call 50 right now and borrow $5 million dollars. It's not a problem."
Another Jimmy who Yayo has a problem with is Game's manager Jimmy Henchman. Yayo confirms that they had a confrontation at last year's Mixtape Awards that basically caused the Apollo Theater ceremony to come to an abrupt end.
"I seen Jimmy Henchman at the Mixtape Awards. He says to me, 'Sak pasé' [Creole for 'what's happening']. I say, 'What is up with your man Game? Don't "sak pasé" me.' Ask Henchman how I shut down the Mixtape Awards. N---as was screaming Henchman's name and I said, 'F--- Henchman.' Me, I gotta fall back from these dudes. Dudes feel it's just rap, and when you see them, they don't want no beef. Buck just ran Game out of the club in Vegas. Yayo says he does have love for his old 'hood of Southside Queens and is hyping a guy from those parts: Mazaradi Fox. The New Yorker appears on Yayo's new underground record, known in the streets as "It's a Stick Up."
"He's a standup n---a from Southside," G-Unit's self-proclaimed Energy God said. "50 f---s with him hard-body. I know the n---a. I know his pops. We give n---as from the 'hood opportunity."

Also on "It's a Stick Up," Yayo gives a chance to Felicia Pearson, better known as Snoop from the HBO drama "The Wire." Both Fox and Snoop may be signing to Yayo's new label, which he is thinking of calling Hollow Point Entertainment.
"I got up with her one day, she told me she wanted to rhyme, I threw her on the track," he said. "She's interested in getting in the game. I'mma open my arms to anything that's new that people want to do. I learned that from 50."
Yayo says Finally Off Paper should be out this week, while his new album will come sometime after 50 drops Before I Self-Destruct in June. Right now Yayo's LP is called Godfather of the Ghetto, but he said he's playing with another name.
"My last project, I did it blindfolded," he insisted. "I did 750,000 [copies sold] on house arrest. I'm having fun with it. This new album, I'm calling it I'm 50 Cent's Tax Write-Off. I really don't care if it sells or generates any money towards Interscope, because Interscope only cares about three people: Eminem, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent. I'm not going to sit here and grow gray hairs over it. I'm gonna give you the best music possible because 50 is going to make sure I'm all right. I can do five shows with 50 and make ... over $100,000 being his hypeman. So me going on tour with 50, I can generate millions of dollars that a artist would make doing shows off their own album." ...

Also on "It's a Stick Up," Yayo gives a chance to Felicia Pearson, better known as Snoop from the HBO drama "The Wire." Both Fox and Snoop may be signing to Yayo's new label, which he is thinking of calling Hollow Point Entertainment.
"I got up with her one day, she told me she wanted to rhyme, I threw her on the track," he said. "She's interested in getting in the game. I'mma open my arms to anything that's new that people want to do. I learned that from 50."
Yayo says Finally Off Paper should be out this week, while his new album will come sometime after 50 drops Before I Self-Destruct in June. Right now Yayo's LP is called Godfather of the Ghetto, but he said he's playing with another name.
"My last project, I did it blindfolded," he insisted. "I did 750,000 [copies sold] on house arrest. I'm having fun with it. This new album, I'm calling it I'm 50 Cent's Tax Write-Off. I really don't care if it sells or generates any money towards Interscope, because Interscope only cares about three people: Eminem, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent. I'm not going to sit here and grow gray hairs over it. I'm gonna give you the best music possible because 50 is going to make sure I'm all right. I can do five shows with 50 and make ... over $100,000 being his hypeman. So me going on tour with 50, I can generate millions of dollars that a artist would make doing shows off their own album." ...

Im Endeffekt ist es schwer solche Aussagen zu bewerten, einfach weil hier in Germany zu weit weg sind und nichtmal ansatzweise in Kontakt mit den Ereignissen stehen.
Die G-Unit Fans werden das nun alles glauben und die Fans anderer Gruppierungen (Blackwallstreet oder Dipset) werden nun was negatives finden und Yayo nix glauben!
Erst wenn einer Yayo's, Game's, Cam'Rons's oder Fifty's Phone Number hat, kann er mir was davon erzählen wie real/fake jemand ist.....

Young Buck in Schlägerei verwickelt
Young Buck prügelt sich schon mal fit für eventuelle Konfrontationen mit der Byrd-Gang und hat in einem New Yorker Club die Fäuste fliegen lassen. Nachdem eine Konversation mit nicht g-g-g-ganz so netten Worten in eine Schlägerei ausartete, gab er einfach nen Buck auf alles und mischte mit. Ein Zeuge berichtet:
"Es war einer dieser Kämpfe, wo jeder auf jeden losgeht. Young Buck looked like he wanted a piece of the action and started swinging punches, too."

BET.com: Let’s start with the books, and G-Unit Book imprint. Why did you decide to get into the publishing game?
50 Cent: I was approached by Jimmy [Iovine] about creating a film of my life story. I said I would explore the opportunity of creating a book. I actually had both of them come at the same time. So while Terry Winters was on tour with me compiling information to create the screenplay, Kris Ex was with me compiling information to create the book....I become a bigger reader as my travel schedule began to become so active, the magazines don’t make it all the way through the trip. You flip through, read the parts that are interesting, [but] then you just don’t go through the whole thing. So I started reading different novels and came across [Nikki Turner's] Hustler’s Wife and The Glamorous Life. They’re just books people gave and said, 'Hey, read this when you get on a flight.' I reached out after I completed [my book] From Pieces to Weight [which] made it to the top 10 publishing companies...So now I have an interest in publishing.
The cover says that you co-wrote these books with the authors. Who came up with the actual stories?
We actually sat together and went back and forth until we created the whole concept, and then I let them go creatively. I didn’t want to be so involved with the creative process that I’m changing lines, or I’m sitting there going, 'No, No, No, this should happen.' And I’m leading them into a direction where they don’t know where they are, and it makes it difficult to complete the process. [So] we sat down with each one of them. I read books that are written in my language....I don’t read the Bible enough because it says 'thou' and 'art' and 'thee.' I need the Bible that has the direct terms for me to actually absorb the information.
Are any of these stories based on any of your life, or on people that you know?
No, we took [from] different sources to actually create the story line.
And you're actually working on another book based on your life. Is that true?
Well, it’s like a table, so it has like all photographs from when I was a kid all the way [up] until now. It has different things in it like concerts and specific events that marked my idle thoughts at that point. Things were written around the actual photographs. And [readers] should look forward to 50 Laws of Power. I’m sure they’re familiar with Robert Greene, the author of 48 Laws of Power. He’s a great writer, so I collaborated with him and created this project.
The 48 Laws of Power has gotten a lot of criticism along with its praise. Some people say it's evil.
You know what it is, people internalize things differently. See, the people who were saying that that book is evil, will just read the law, because it says things directly. 'When you destroy, destroy completely.' If you don’t actually read the book...but when you actually read the comparisons and the stories--and he did the research to actually put to the actual law--it’s not that negative...Someone may take it and literally. These were some of the issues we ran into when we started 50 Laws of Power.
You recently shot a movie with Samuel L. Jackson which was pretty ironic because there was some bad blood between the two of you, no?
That happened during the release of Get Rich or Die Trying. I understand it now, because I got a little more insight on what happens in Hollywood. You have people who have studied acting for as long as they can remember, and they see people receive opportunities because [of] music, [such as] the opportunity to work with Jim Sheridan, when Samuel Jackson really wants to work with Jim Sheridan. I think it was more of a business statement. He’s saying 'I wouldn’t do a movie with a rapper' based on other rappers that he’s heard things about. He might have heard what DMX’s behavior on the set is, or someone else’s behavior. I can only say this now, because I would have said, 'what part was he going to play in the film, my Grandfather?' or 'was he going to be a crackhead in the film?' I would say things like that early on because I’m not understanding. If you don’t want to do it, then don’t do it. But they have their own little issues with people receiving those opportunities, because they feel like they aren’t credible. You've seen people come from the music format and establish themselves as great actors. We got Will Smith with the Pursuit of Happyness out right now. Queen Latifah established herself, LL, Ice Cube.
When is your new album coming out?
My new album should be out in the second quarter. I’m finishing it up now. Before I Self-Destruct.
What's the meaning behind that title?
It’s the history of entertainment. They build entertainers in order to destroy them for the sake of entertainment. I believe the process of me being destroyed is coming.
How long have you been in the business now?
4 years.
That's a pretty short life span for a Hip-Hop artist.
Yeah, but it’s a shorter life span because of how much success [I've had]. People don’t dislike you until you start doing good.
So when you first came out, you think everyone was just riding for the underdog?
Yeah, and I have been enduring a lot more than they actually understand. Like in 'Piggy Bank,' when I write, that’s just about artists. That’s about rappers that express discomfort with the success that I am having, because they can’t see themselves having a record that sells over 12 million in their career. LL right now is working on album thirteen. I am executive producing his new album. I’ve done what LL’s music career [did] on my first record.
Do you think that bothers LL?
Not at all. LL is the kind of person that is smart enough to see it and go, 'maybe you have something or information to offer me that allows me to take what I am doing to the next level.’ There is no one who’s shown more discipline in the music business than LL. Considering that the theme of his career was ‘Ladies Love Cool James,’ he has managed to keep himself at a point or position, where it’s still interesting for a woman to look at LL Cool J.
LL has spoken out against Jay-Z, before made the announcement that he was working with G-Unit. There were rumors that maybe there was a diss song in the works. What does 50 have to say about that?
LL, he is not in that space.
But are you in that space? Would you?
I would write a record if I felt, if I had feelings, I would just let everyone know how I feel, 'cause I'm direct. LL said ‘Jay-Z did a good job at marketing himself.’ For example, Jay-Z’s marketing plan was probably $20 million dollars. Nas’s was probably $2 million. You see what I am saying, so he did do a better job at promoting himself than anyone else on the record label, and it's obvious. It's plain as day. You saw the marketing campaign. It’s the best marketing campaign I have ever seen. You have to tip your hat to him in business. It says that he's on another level business-wise. He has changed my business mode. Believe me, there will be 20 million dollars spent on my next album.

G-Unit Records musste im vergangenen Jahr einige Rückschläge bei ihren Releases hinnehmen - Lloyd Banks 320.000, Mobb Deep 267.000 verkaufte Alben. Diese Flaute soll nun durch Young Bucks neues Album "Buck The World" geändert werden.

bin schon sehr gespannt auf den neuen d12 stuff das letzte album fand ich aber enttaüschend war einfach nur langweilig und das ein am album kommt ist zwar nicht wirklich überraschend aber was solls freue mich trotzdem darauf .

Also soweit meine bescheidenen Kenntnisse über Linkin Park reichen, ist Chester Bennington der Sänger von Linkin Park. Der Rapper in der Gruppe ist Mike Shinoda, der vor einigen Jahren das Projekt "Fort Minor" ins Leben gerufen hat.

Things are about to get real crazy! The streets are buzzing with Bishop Lamont's new mixtape "Nigger Noize", and controversy has already followed that buzz. It turns out that the west coast MC has been approached by the FBI over some concerns regarding the mixtape. There are even some rumors that Bill O. Riley has been quite angry at the content expressed on some of the tracks!
Controversy, however, is nothing new to Dr. Dre or his Aftermath team. Eyebrows have been raised from NWA to Eminem and will continue to do so over some fly new music creeping our way!
Bishop will soon be putting the final touches to his next mixtape album “Caltroit”, in which Bishop will share his lyrical talent with Black Milk from Detroit as well as a couple other surprises! Until then, be sure to pick up Bishop’s “Nigger Noize” mixtape and Black Milk’s new album “Popular Demand”.

whats up people! Just dropping in for a sec to clear some things up. That info about our album is false. Actually, we haven't came up with any title yet. But it certainly will not be NBKs. on the production side, we haven't worked with half the people that's listed there. Only Three 6 and Swizz Beats are true. we plan to go back in the studio in 2 weeks with Slim and knock this album out. Peace yall, and thanks for the support
we're trying to work with the schedule right now. 50 is dropping this year and so is Slim, so you know its gonna be crazy up at Shady this year! We're hoping 4th quarter though. We got set back last year because our focus wasn't there. We were just frustrated,angry, and depressed. I think our album was going into a real dark stage. I think even darker than Devils Night.(which is my favorite D12 album) You'll still hear some of that with the finished product. like i said though, we're getting back in the lab to start back working on the album in a few weeks.
